 I dont think Candace will give Bevo back Amanda. She is dying for a Dobie between your pics and Megan's of Josie.

Who here thinks Amanda should write a book about her life? I would so buy one!

Bittersweet day for me.  I'm meeting the GSD rescue gal at lunch to give her the puppy. 

I'll be thinking about you Jackie. I just know that this puppy is going to end up with a wonderful family and have a great life thanks to you.

Tina - I'm so glad that I don't have to hassle over the thermostat here. In my old job, there used to be some serious cat fights over who'd touched the thermostat.

It's a gorgeous morning but chilly. It definitely feels like Fall here now. I love the cooler weather but the shorter days always make me a little sad.

I'm bummed - I thought it was Oct. 1 and was getting my swap partner today.  Oh well, I guess I can wait one more day.

Two more days, Deb.  Oct 1st is the sign up deadline.  I'll be assigning partners Friday morning.  And I mean EARLY Friday morning.  I have to leave the house at 7am to go to a golf tournament, so I'll have to assign the partners before I leave.

Just got back from the dr.s with the hubby, he is doing fine, will have another check up in 6 months, and they took him off the plavix, he only needed if for 30days, that is a HUGE relief since I was unsure how we were going to afford it.

On the bad news side, I have one of my boys ( the bosses) out with swine flu. I knew I made that chicken soup for a reason.

Off to eat some late lunch.

Back from the doctor's.  I have a nice, new, clean cast.  I wonder how long that will last....They also have tests for the flu running.  They'll call me in a few hours to let me know results.

I need ideas for dinner.  I have a whole chicken, a grill, & some spices that aren't packed.  Any ideas?

I do have a Jen update and not a great one....from Sis's email a bit ago

Just a quick note.   We are just loading the car and leaving.  Jen is scheduled for another surgery this afternoon.   She has an abscess and the infection has gone into the bone.  They are doing a pic line at 2 as she will have to be on IVs for 6 weeks and the surgery is after that.

Glenda, I am so sorry to read the update.  She is in for a very long recovery.  Here's hoping the surgery goes well and healing vibes, too.

I'm having a busy day at work running around doing the closings. I'm playing bookeeper today - I must admit it's a lot of fun running around all day! I could get used to this. hehehe.

I think I have to go out after work and pick up a birthday present for myself from FH. I'm pretty certain he hasn't gotten me anything yet. hehehe. Luckily I don't mind getting something for myself! I'm thinking I feel like expensive perfume. It's my birthday on Friday :)

Our friend (who works with FH and actually just lives down the road from us) FINALLY caved and bought rock band for his Wii the other day. He has decided to leave it at our house along with his Wii though - which is awesome. I'm totally loving the drums. I'm super good. Sort of......on easy.

Mmmm chicken.  I'm making stuffed chicken tonight -- yum!

Glenda, so sorry about Jen -- it was looking better there for a bit.  I certainly am sending good thoughts and vibes for you and your family.
