A cocktail quiz to start your morning!

I only got 3 right.  Obviously I don't spend enough time in the bars. Confused

9 out of 10 - but really, did you expect anything less Big Smile????

I screwed up on the seabreeze/baybreeze one - I always get those two confused.

I'm just going to pass on that one!  I'd flunk.

Couldn't reach my oldest son all day yesterday to update him on his cousin.  He finally called back last night.  DIL has been in the hospital since Tuesday night.  They had her in ICU for about 30 hours because her asthma was so bad.  And she freaks and makes it worse so they are also having to keep her sedated.  DS hasn't been home since Tuesday evening either, except to feed the cats and scoop their box because if she wakes up and he's not there she freaks and the whole breathing thing starts on another roller coaster ride.

On the Jen front, she had a good night, the first she's had in a long time.  She goes back to the surgeon today so we're hoping that this situation has finally turned the right corner. Too many mistakes by too many different people/entities.  This just shouldn't have happened, and I'm not like this, but I hope she sees an attorney and I hope she makes enough noise so that OTHER folks are aware of the shoddy healthcare and at least try to advocate for themselves.

Gosh, I so hope that the medical crisis' are over for my family.  Can't believe DS didn't call me, but, poor guy has been going on caffeine for 72 hours with only cat naps here and there......

The weather guru's are promising that today will be the last 90 plus degree day we see for awhile.  Sure hope they are right.  I'm really hoping that if my body gets a chance to experience typical FL weather going into spring, I'll be better able to handle it than I was coming from cold and snow into it.

I MUST do my filing today.....I'm buried in unfiled papers.  Sigh.

Glenda, so glad she's doing better!

I'm really happy because we FINALLY have glass repair people coming to take measurements for our broken window. It's been a week, and I have jumped through so many hoops for this it's insane!! But hopefully within a few days we will once again have a window! Wooooo!

I really hope that my days gets a little better.  I really hate starting my day by giving Grady a bath.  He found something absolutely irrestable to roll in this morning.  Whoboy what a stench.

I'm off to the body shop to have them fix something they missed when my car was there last week.  What a PIA.  The good news is that they love dogs there & I'll take Aspen with me.

    9 out of 10!  Stupid chocolate martini...Hmm

Glenda, I'm glad that Jen seems to be on the road to recovery.  Hopefully the news on your DIL will be equally as good.

Annie, you weren't the only early morning dog bather this morning.  Bev & Bru caught & split a rabbit for breakfast this morning.  Shooter rolled in the leftovers. Ick!

I fired my two problem employees this morning.  I can't deal with their constant bickering any more.  Now, I have to hire new people, which sucks.

Final inspection on the house is scheduled for Monday.  Fingers crossed that it passes this last inspection!

Double post....Apparently, it's a little early in the morning for me!

    • Gold Top Dog

Amanda, I can't believe the boys left anything of the rabbit for Shooter to roll in.  How big was it?

Also, I hope your final inspection goes smoothly.

Glad to read Jen is improving.

Toe problems must be contagious through the forum - Karen (Bugsy's mom) posted about having an injured toe yesterday.  Healing vibes to her!

Agnes decided she didn't like her fish and vegetables this morning, but her meds were already mixed in, so I added a bit of chicken, mixed it up, and she ate it.

Last night we went to the park where there are tons of squirrels, so she had a good sniff-fest!  Bear used to love going to that park - it was a good place for training leave it because of all the squirrels.  Agnes didn't really try to chase anything, though she pooped twice while we were there.  Good thing I brought 2 bags!

It said I got "5 or 6 correct out of 10" Confused  How do you get 5 OR 6 correct?  I got the first several, but the last few got me.  Oh well.

It's lonely here at work.  Apparently, most of the building decided not to come in due to the protesting from the G-20.  Glad I'm the conscientious worker who shows up!  Seems like no one else would be missed, but if I walk in late or leave early, the world is crashing down.  At least there's some job security there?

Can't wait for Sammy's vet appt this evening... thanks to everyone for your support and good wishes, I'm crossing my fingers that this vet will help.  The worst is not really knowing what's wrong, or everything that's wrong; second worst is not getting guidance in what to do to make it better.

Glenda, hopefully your neice and DIL are both on the mend, good thoughts coming your way for both of them.  It is scary when you feel like you have to tell doctors (or vets!) how to do their job since obviously it's not going right, good thing the podiatrist is now involved.  Something so simple should never be so complicated, and I hope she is able to get it resolved.

ETA -- didn't see it until after I posted.  Amanda, good luck with the final inspection!  Hope it all goes smoothly.  Have fun packing this weekend Big Smile

I think Devin is either suffering from allergies or coming down with a cold.  She must have just felt sort of lousy last night b/c she woke up more than usual.  I am going to use some Baby Vicks and the humidifier tonight and see if that helps!  She was in a great mood this morning though so hopefully she has a good day.

Hubby just called to inform me that he has lost both sets of his keys, home and work.  He had to have them to get to the office, and lost them while he was there, so he just knows they are gone!  They are probably sitting somewhere and since I am not there to look for them for him, they will never be found.  He is all upset b/c he doesn't have a spare truck key and his 4 wheeler key was on the chain too.  Seriously, if this is the worst of his problems, he should just relax about it.  On top of that, his boss made him leave to go out on jobs, so he is even more p*ssed!

Glenda, you have had your fair share of worry lately.  I hope this is the end of it!

When my kid was real little and she asked what's for dinner, me and Mr. W always said "chicken".  If we said beef, pork chops, or anything else, she would say "but I don't like that".   So even if we fed her beef, pork, fish, etc., as long as we called it chicken she would eat it.  Go figure.

Fingers crossed for the inspection Amanada.

Tina, Agnes is sooooo very lucky to have you.

It's no secret that DIL is not my very most favorite person in the whole world, but, I would never wish her ill, if for no other reason than that my boy loves her.  But, also because I'm not the type of person to which any but the most evil, vile, human being ill.  I know how terrifying an anxiety attack can be, and I'm hoping that they KEEP her on meds after she's released so that she can continue to chill.  She's needed them for a long time.  So, this actually may turn out to be a good thing, having other issues addressed.  However, it would be awfully nice if they could find out WHY this attack was so severe and so persistent.  There has to be something going on.

Lol, I did the exact same thing.  5 or 6 out of 10...not bad, considering I don't know if I've had a Dr. Pepper or a Bay Breeze. Smile

I got a new car!  A silver Dodge Durango, V8 4WD, and the dogs love it!  It was purchased mainly for them, as the last conformation show we went to was quite squished between 4 dogs, DH and I, luggage, and crates in a VW Jetta!  Eek.

It can fit all four crates plus has extra room!  And there's some nifty little storage compartments that will be great for holding at-hand equipment for shows.

    Very exciting! Big SmileBig Smile

    I think they like it!

Deb, does your daughter use the line "it tastes like chicken" frequently as an adult?

    • Gold Top Dog

Tina, it looked like a young juvenille rabbit.  It was obviously not the smartest rabbit out there because instead of cutting & weaving to get away from Bev, it tried to outrun him straightaway.  Not much outruns him in a straight sprint.

Nicole & Sammy, we're thinking of you both today!

Sarah, I hope that Devin feels better quickly!  I won't comment about your DH losing his keys.  I tend to struggle to keep up with my id badge for work. Huh?

DH has announced that he doesn't think that he & the boys are going camping this weekend after all.  I am in the process of typing him up a "honey do" list.  If it's long enough, maybe he decide that he wants to go. Smile

I just got a call from doxie rescue to see if I'm willing to let them use Shooter for a meet & greet.  Bev is already going to be the dobe greeter at the same event.  I'm sure that it will be fun.
