Why?

well, if he has a change of heart about it that would be great, but i hope he wouldnt just give in to shut you up because that could turn out badly :/

50 pounds isn't THAT big...  My biggest is 86 and he doesn't seem big at all, unless he's sitting in my lap!

Here's the problem as I see it. You have highly attuned hearing for doggy speak and Sally is saying "Take me home so that I can lay my head in your lap."

Your DH can't hear it, yet. He doesn't realize it, yet, but the dog is yours, waiting on delivery.

Good luck. If DH can afford fishing trips etc, you can have another dog.

If DH can afford fishing, golf, golf, fishing, golf, and golf then I SHOULD be able to get another dog!  Totally agree Ron.

We talked a little more last night at dinner and OMG I started tearing up when I was telling him I want her, lol.  I didnt realize I even wanted her THAT badly until that happened.  I get the impression hes almost getting defensive about Bailey like why dont I think Bailey is enough.... but thats crazy because I tell him every day that I think my Kayla has stayed with me through Bailey... I truly think that, I know shes in there and shes with me and its amazing and makes me wonder about how this crazy world works.

Anyway, it has nothing to do with that! I think we are good doggie parents and there are so many at the ;pound and why not have all that love X2!?

For some reason he keeps saying he doesnt want a big dog, but I have always had a seriously soft spot for big dogs and would just kill for a great dane, doberman, GSD etc... and he knows that.  I always thought he liked them too... Im kinda thinking it has to do with Lcuy.  Shes 80 pounds and shes just a big galute.  BUT, thats not our fault she does not live here full time and as much as I try to work with her, she spends more time at my aunts than here... in fact she hasnt been here in about a month.  Anyway shes just big and goofy and I think thats why he doesnt want a "big dog".  But, she wouldnt be like that!  She would be good!  And NO 50 pounds is not big at all (of course thats only a guess but still) my Kayla was 40 pounds.

    Im rambling Ill stop...[>:]

It's too bad your DH isn't more like my DH - he notices nothing!  I could sneak another dog in here and it would be a good 6 months before I heard "Where did that dog come from?" And I could say "He's always been here, Dear.  He came with the house.  Don't you remember?" [:D] And since in addition to noticing nothing, he also remembers nothing, everything would be cool.
