Sad it's been 5yrs since my mamacat died, my right hand is numb every morning I wake up like this and I'm sick of it, hopefully it doesn't rain because I wanna go ride my bike well attempt to go ride it lol.

Little rant my brother's wife is starting her crap again and we all still don't speak to one another but guess what the holidays are coming and this is what she does, yay us lol.

Well I'm going riding bye everyone :)

Jackie - I can't believe no one has come along to claim that beautiful puppy. She sounds as cute as she looks.

I've only been here 10 min's and I already have a headache. I really hate my job and wish I could just quit.but there's a zero chance I'd find something else that pays what this one does. I know I should be grateful to have a job and some days I am, but not today. Sad

OMG my arms are so sore this morning.  Yesterday Riley had her first swim class (parent-tot) and since you have to carry/support them the whole hour long I am dying!  She's the oldest in the class so I was so jealous of these moms/dads holding their 8 lb babies and I am shelping around my 25 lb 2 year old!  She had fun and so did I so that's good.  Plus she slept like a rock last night so that's a good thing.

I got into an altercation with a man last night when I was walking Charlie.  Long story short minus the gory the details, when we walked past him he threatened to hit Charlie with his large, heavy cane for absolutely no reason.  After I realized what he was threatening to do I questioned him as he was walking away and his response was FU.  I was like. WHAT??? and his response was "Get you Fing dog away from you B...".  I stood there in shock and speechless.  He wasn't from our condo neighborhood or the one next door so he must have been some moron.  I didn't have my cell or I would have called the cops.  By the time I got home it was so after the fact I figured it would be useless.  Well, DH went out to go find him (probably 1 - to congratulate him for making me speechless since no one has every done that before and 2 - find out WTH is going on).  Well, he was long gone.

Anyway....that was the drama from yesterday.  If I see him today I am going to call the cops.  I did call the Presidents of both condo associations and they will be on the lookout for him.  DH told the neighbors what happened and if this guy bothers to come around again he is going to get lynched by the all the seniors.

Tomorrow I am taking Riley to my old High School's Powerpuff (flag) football game.  Since its an all girls school (east side vs, west side schools) there is always some drama!  I will have to find my old jersey, we put our nicknames on the back instead of our real names, needless to say mine is "NookieCookie".

    TGIF all right. Today bites.

We just found out that Luna's brother has IE and she could be affected also (see health thread on that topic, I won't rehash here). I have a committee meeting tonight for a dog show and suspect it's going to get nasty -- not me, but other parties who seem to be unwilling to behave like adults.

Ugg, I am ready for a glass of wine and it's not even noon!

I'm feeling rather domestic.  I never cook, but last night I made a HUGE pot of cheesy bacon potato soup AND a venison stew.  Then I needed something sweet so I made my family's secret recipe sweet fudge.  Mmmm, my soup is gooooood.  The only problem was we don't have a peeler, so the potatoes and carrots have skins but my mom said they are healthier that way (?).

It's not even 10 AM here, so I'm thinking a Bloody Mary or a Mimosa would be nice. Big Smile

Cita - you're brilliant and will do great on the GREs.  Best wishes for smooth sailing between now and tomorrow, and good luck that you get in there and think "Shoot!  I can DO this!!"

Glenda - extra good thoughts to your niece, Jen.  We know how much she means to you.

Ok, so it's too early to drink, but I'm sending you all virtual champagne with strawberries - let's celebrate Friday and good friends!

All this talk about football has reminded me that we have the Broncos game on Sunday!  Too bad we don't have any friends to tailgate with.  My sister's a little too reserved to just make friends there.

Hope Ron celebrates this weekend before his new job starts on Monday!  So happy for him!!!!

    TGIF for me as well!

Good luck on the GREs, Courtney!  I managed to get into grad school without them, but DH had a rough time of them.  He's basically brilliant at what he does (robotics and engineering) but that verbal part was to him, what the math sounds like to you!

Jackie, hope you find the owner of the pup!  I certainly hope someone is missing her :(

Sammy has a vet appt tomorrow.  I wanted to go to a new vet, ours isn't bad per se, but they aren't amazing either. They love to give antibiotics and call it a day.  but the new one couldn't get us in for a week, and between the odd vomiting and now the weird bubble on the paw/nail, I wanted him in sooner rather than later.

We're also dog-sitting, and Molly is a great dog, but she must have been downstairs and made noise, so Sammy barked and woke us up.  Then she was chewing rawhide and must have drunk a lot of water, and got us up twice to go out... very sleepy today....

ETA - Glenda, good thoughts for your niece!  I hope it's nothing very bad!

Ron, congrats and have fun on Monday!

I technically qualify for afternoon drinks since it is 1320 here and I already had lunch.  Guess what I had?  Tomato sandwich!!  My 'maters are finally red!!!!  What would you chase a mater sandwich down with??

This morning's unemployment hearing was for a former employee who got fired for numerous things.  So the people involved in firing him said he was schizophrenic; also never looked women in the eye, would always stare at their boobs.  I said, "not that I don't have empathy for mental illness, but I don't know many men who don't stare at boobs, so does that make all of them mentally ill?"

Tina - that's funny that anyone would've even bothered to mention that about the guy staring at women's boobs. Kind of makes you wonder about how obvious he made it. Maybe he was drooling out the side of his mouth just a little bit - LOL

I think a glass of chardonnay would go well with a tomato sammy. Both sound quite yummy to me.

My boss ran out of here at 9:30 yelling to the new guy to hurry cause they were going to be late for one of our site's graduations. Both the new guy and I said we thought it was too early but the boss insisted it wasn't. I just checked online and the graduation started at 11, so they were probably there about an hour and 20 min's early. I'm even more thankful that I decided not to go.

I had a coworker like that - at one point during a project meeting, I looked at my sleeve, then looked up at him and said "Do I have something on my clothes or something, because you keep staring at me."  He was embarrassed, and the meeting leader had to hold it in, because she'd experienced the same issues with him.  He also showed up to work in dirty clothing with holes (was sent home to change once), and we worked at a corporate office making pretty good money!  He was later fired for making a $700k mistake (after a $72k mistake the month before).  I wonder if he got unemployment... I heard later he became a chauffeur.  Sadly, he will always be part of my memories because he's the first person who told me about the planes crashing into the WTC on 9/11/01.

Annyway, has anyone heard from Janet from Hong Kong?  She's been on my mind - I hope she's happy and Jason & Moca are good.  It sounded like she had been having a tough time.  Hugs to Janet, wherever she is!!

DH and I are going out tonight.  We got a big gift card from his credit card points.  I'm already looking at the drink menu at work...

Lisa, I hope that nutjob doesn't show up in your neighborhood again.  My arms are sore just thinking about supporting 25 lbs for very long. lol  I so need to start doing my upper body exercises/weights again.

Tina, anything is good with 'mater sandwiches but I think an icy cold beer would be delicious.  I'm not a beer drinker but every now and then I love a really cold one.

The pup got a clean bill of health.  Fecal was clear, heart and lungs sound good.  She is now officially addicted to Cheese Whiz. lol  I went ahead and had her micro chipped.  She was very good at the clinic.  She just lays down calmly until someone approaches her and then she stands and wags tail and greets nicely.  The Vet said she's not older than five months.  When we left she made her first attempt to jump in the back of my Expedition!  Good girl, but she needed some help.

I have a ton of work to do so I better not join you guys in a drink. lol
