I am having a delicious dinner tonight that I can't stop thinking about! We are having steak, peppers and zuchinni grilled on the BBQ and roasted potatoes with mint!

Stacey, that sounds delicious!  What time is dinner?

 Anyone done a communication exercise in a workshop that you liked?  Yup I'm doing some training and need an exercise preferably short and sweet.................

We had a bit of rain thru the night but the sun is out now and it's beautiful and cool.

It really came down pretty hard around midnight, didn't it?  Have to say though I'm a little disappointed that it didn't carry over to today.  It's really gorgeous out, but I was kind of looking forward to that *rainy day* they promised us. I guess I should go get all the towels out of the patio and toss them in the dryer.

If it did in my area, I didn't hear anything. I sleep like a baby these days - yay!! What I'm really hoping is that the temps stay cool. I could use a break on the electric bill for a change.

Thank you to whoever sent the rain our way.  We had cloudy overcast all weekend but just a spit or two of rain.  Todays seems to be an all dayer.  MUCH cooler now!

BEVOLASVEGAS

I dropped Brutus off at the vet this morning.  He's not acting right.  This morning when we got up, he didn't do his happy kidney bean dance for me.  Then he refused to eat.  He's just mopey, which is totally un-Brutus like. 

I remember you saying you lost your watch in the "scuffle" and you thought that's what cut Bru's mouth. Do you think he ate it? And maybe it's causing a blockage? Just and idea.

I'm feeling grumpy today, and I really don't have any reason to. I guess I'll just blame it on Monday. 

I'm trying to figure out if I want to BATHE Pi-man, or just put Advantage on him. I'm afraid to put any more stress on his system by using the Advantage, but I dunno how bathing him would work - or if it's even OK. I have to do something, he has a ton of fleas. Ick! I guess I could just call the vet's office, though they are probably sick of me.

I hope Bru is OK :(

Aaaand it's the perfect time for a 4pm nap :)

Wow, I'm exhausted. My car is going to the spa (body shop) tomorrow.  Somebody so thoughtfully keyed it about a month ago.  I just get so peed off when I look @ it that I am biting the bullet & having it taken care of.  Any who, I decided that it was time to clean my car out.  Mid car clean I hear a familiar bark coming from a different direction than it should be coming from.  I look around to not only find that Grady had gotten out of the yard but so did Aspen.  Okay, don't panic.  I calmly grabbed a leash (one of many I have spread all over the place).   Finally some of i-dog's combined wisedom has sunk in & I got Grady back on a leash in 5 minutes & Aspen was right by him so all I had to do was pick him up & walk home.

Amanda, I hope that Bru is okay.  Have you heard from the vet yet?  How are you healing?

Oh we got some yummy steaks on Saturday.  Sale price was one that couldn't be passed up.  It's steak & taters for dinnie!  I can't wait.

Rain is in the forcast for the rest of this week, have no idea about the weekend yet.

I called my husband and asked him how my boston pork behind was doing, I put it in the crock pot this morning with some seasoning, mushroom, onions and applesauce.

His response was "it smells like pork"..my response to that was banging my head on the desk.....men!

It is also getting darker every morning when I leave for work. Works for me I love getting up early on the weekends and having it still dark while I make and drink my coffee, it is very peaceful and serene.

Mail came today at work.  I do accounts payable, so the majority of it is mine.  I was very sad to see a returned check for a property tax payment.  Apparently I didn't notice that the city office address had changed (they moved a few doors down) and I didn't fix it in our accounting system.  The forwarding time had expired, so it came back.  The really bad news is that the tax payment is due today, we don't get any leeway, it's for a city 2 hours from here, and there will be a penalty for late payment, which I'll have to tell my boss when he gets back from vacation tomorrow.  Joy.

The really stupid part, we have 2 restaurants in the same town.  I mailed 2 checks on the same day, September 4th, to the same wrong address.  The one check came back last week on the 9th, so I had plenty of time to get it there.  So why didn't the other check come back until today?  And why didn't I look at the first returned check to see if I'd actually paid taxes for both locations on one check?  Then I would have been able to re-send both payments on time and voided the 2nd check when it came back on the due date?  ***smacking head on desk now***

I don't feel like making anything fancy or long for dinner tonight, so I think we will have weiners and beans.  mmmm.  :D

My stomach feels nauseaus though, and I think it's because of my antibiotics.  I hate these things.  I can only eat during certain windows of time, between 11 - 2 and 5 - 8.  Sucks.  And also, I have my alarm set to 4am to wake me to take them!  STUUUUPID!

Tina, can you do an electronic transfer pay for the taxes?  Just a thought.  As far as how long it takes the PO to get letters back that don't get delivered for one reason or another, around here it can be as much as ten days for something mailed in town to another in town address.
