I took the day off today.  I have been doing double duty all week since my co-worker has not shown up.  Oh well.  Thought I could use today to relax and get some stuff done around the house. 

A friend I haven't seen in a year is coming to visit this weekend, I am looking forward to it except that she JUST broke up with her BF and I'm not really good at dealing with people crying - I never know what to do.  I've never had the boy troubles really - dated a bunch of guys in high school that I didn't care about then found FH and have been with him ever since.  I suppose wine goes a long way ;)

Stacey, I understand chocolate & tequila are very helpful in dealing w/breakups - yours or others!  LOL

 Amanda & Brutus I hope you are healing today - take it easy!  Re son's leg - I had that issue when i was about 11 and my niece has it terribly now, rest is essential and ice.  It can take ages to fully heal because it is a growth issue.

Well Ethel the black snake has left another skin for dummy.  Braver this time, in fact he wouldn't settle until he was allowed out to 'catch it' and eat it.   he is resting now.  Funny thing is that he has been after this spot for ages and about a week ago i thought, hmmmmmmmm I wonder if that is where Ethel is.  No doubt now as the skin was stretched out half out of this 'hole' under the concrete of the driveway.  I tell you if the boy could talk I would have a long list of exactly who has been visiting the yard LOL.

I need to post pictures of these HUGE elk antlers I bought for him, ha ha ha.  The guy told me they were big but I really didn't realize how big.  I figure I have bought a year's worth.

OK much work to do and cleaning and errands and............. you get the idea

I am tired, & really don't want to be at work right now.  Hopefully, the day will pass quickly.

Brutus was thrilled to find ground food in his bowl this morning.  By the way that he gulped it down, I don't think that his mouth is too sore.  Last night, he was so excited when he got invited up into bed with us.  He usually just hops up to say hi, & get a snuggle, then he gets in his bed.  Last night, he decided to stay & snuggle for a while. 

This morning he was hilarious.  He kept sniffing my arm, & then he would look up at me with a curious expression.  He always looks, well dumb, but today is was a cute, dumb, "Mom, what happened to you?" look.

LOL!  Yep, that's a lot o' antler for B to gnaw on.  As for the snake problem, it's too bad you can't borrow a mongoose. lol  I don't know how to evict snakes non-lethally.

I went to the doctor this morning because since yesterday I have had this big sore lump right behind my ear.  She said my ear looks red and it might be an infection, which is why i have this lump, my gland.  So I am on antibiotics, which suck, because I have to take one every 4 hours!  for 7 days! And I have to either take it one hour before i eat or two hours after i eat.  And well, i'm starrrving! 

I hope the pain goes away though because it throbs all the time! blaaaaaaaah

LOL!  Yep, that's a lot o' antler for B to gnaw on.

Ha ha I conversed with him and said I needed them cut extra long and needed the densest he had and my word .  They weren't cheap but value for money is there - they will take much longer than the deer antler I was buying locally.  With those when B got them down to about 7-8 inches long he puts the whole thing in his giant mouth.  No way that is happening with these LOL

We might break the record today for high temps. It could get as high as 106, but I'm really hoping the weather folks are wrong.

I drove in feeling so tired and out of it but we have a bunch of people in the office this morning and it's helped perk me up. I am very glad it's Friday.

Cathy, I hope you have a nice restful weekend.  I am in complete agreement of being THRILLED its' Friday!   I have a few deadlines looming and and really need to buckle down and get this stuff finished.  Several half completed projects I keep getting pulled away from.  I hope I don't have to come in this weekend and work.  But I'll let you guys know if I do, so I can get my brown noser award. LOL

Some areas near us have had EIGHT inches of rain over the past two days.  A friend said her swimming pool is overflowing and her yard is a lake.  Her dogs love it!  We haven't had that much but we are getting more today.  Thanks Annie.  Who knew I just needed to ask you to send us some rain. lol

Everyone who is feeling lousy, tired, sick or hurt.  FEEL BETTER!!   The rest of you can try and bum some tequila and chocolate from them.
