    Mindless Chatter Tuesday

I thought I'd give Tina a break from starting this thread.  Morning, Tina!  How's our girl doing?

My weekend was filled with kleenex and green tea with honey.  My cold is better this morning, just in time to go back to work.  Great.  Rex woke me up around 4am with a nice lick on the mouth.  Thanks, big guy.

Morning Jackie!  Sorry your alarm was a kiss on the mouth from the dog.

Agnes had her first Ivermectin treatment on Saturday.  We spent a lot of time going outside to potty because the prednisone made her even more thirsty and even less able to hold it for too long.  She only has to have the pred when I give the Ivermectin, so it was manageable.  Anyway, she's still eating well.  I made up a huge amount of doggie stew with ground beef, mashed potatoes, and green beans, plus got another beef heart.  She coughed quite a bit during the night last night, though.

So my weekend was pretty dull except for setting up an area in the house where Agnes can go tinkle if she must when I'm at work.  She's definitely gotten the idea that outside is best, but will go where I have designated if she must.

Today I am having my garage door opener looked at.  It hasn't worked in a few weeks and my poor little truck has had to sleep outside.  Hopefully the problem will be a simple fix.

    Good Morning everyone!!!

I know I have not been around too much. I hope to come back more if I can steal time. My board time is at work Wink as once I am at home, I am not on a computer much.

We had a great weekend up north. All the girls swam to their hearts content, even Max! She was EXHAUSTED when we got home. Kind of funny, she still ate but did so lying down. In some ways I think the car ride was the hardest part for her. I think she is glad she went. We are "maybe" going again in a couple weeks to help DH's parents get the dock out of the water. We will see how Max is whether she (and I) make the trip again.

This summer went so fast. I know we will still have some summer like days, but around here it was a MILD summer. Once Labor day comes and goes, it seems like winter comes fast. I AM NOT READY!!!! Crying

    Good Morning all!

Really a pretty day here today and the humidity seems like it might have cleared out.  If so, I can do some outside stuff with the trimmer.  If not, well, I busted butt yesterday while DH was at the station so I'm all caught up, squeaky clean house (for the moment), clean laundry (5 loads worth) clean bedding all around, and a nicely defrosted freezer, so I can indulge myself by going to the library for a refill (read all my books) and maybe reading, filling some picture frames......shoot, I did payroll on Sunday, so don't even need to go into the office today!

    Hi Guys !

Wow - what a weekend.  Took Kate back to college and got her settled in  . . . I HATE move in day.  It takes soooo long. So back and forth from NJ to MA, then cleaned the house from top to bottom - I kind of slack off during the summer so it needed it.  Then had a "Q" at the house yesterday for the start of college football season.  I'm sooooo tired that I'm actually glad to be back at work where I can relax!!!

I, comfortably, went for a run this morning!  My funky spider bite is almost closed, only like an inch more to go, & I am just in a generally good mood.

DS #2 is annoyed because his brother got the day off today.  I tried to point out to him that his brother will be doing schoolwork today, just not from school.  He still wasn't happy when I dropped him off this morning.

Not sure where the best place is for this -- I got a call from Pirate's Mom this morning.  He got jumped by a big dog (the dog jumped OUT of a stopped car) and mauled.  The owner sat IN THE CAR and did nothing.

Meg got bitten trying to get the bigger dog (it was a pit, I'm sorry to say) OFF Pirate.  Pi's at the vet (and doing well thus far - so far it hasn't caused him to seize) and Meg's at the emergency room getting her hand sewn up.

YES, the police were called and a report done.  No, the idiot doesn't have proof of vaccines (he knew the dog would bite and he knew HE'd get bitten if he tried to stop it which is why he didn't bother to get out of his car).

Meg's mad, worried and hurting.  Mostly I'm just making you guys aware so you can back her up with some good thots and prayers.  She'll post when she gets time and gets home.

Holy crap!  Thanks for letting us know, Callie.

Good thoughts for Meg & Pirate from us way up here in MI.

I won't post what I think of the jerk-wad other dog owner. Super Angry

OMG what a total a$$wipe !!!  I really hope this guy gets his due someday!!  Praying that Meg and Pirate both feel better soon !!

Callie thanks so much for letting us know.  That just makes my blood boil to hear that the idiot owner did NOTHING.  Sending my strongest prayers to both Meg and Pirate.  It's too bad we weren't near by or that jerk of an owner would have been making a trip to the ER too.  I can't believe this happened, it just infuriates me.

oh my god! how horrible!!!  I am sending all of my thoughts and prayers Meg's way!!  I seriously hope she considers suiing him!  Even in small claims!

Sending good thoughts to Meg, & Pirate.

OMG - that's horrible.  Good thoughts coming her way!!

Okay, I have to say it.  Why the h*ll did the idiot owner even have his dog out if he knew it was DA?  GAH!  People pee me off so much.  So many good vibes for Megan & Pi.  I'm sad just thinking of both Pi & Megan being in hospitals.

Last week & took Maghee to a holistic vet.  She was sooooo good & slept during our visit.  She even kept all of her needles in & started snoring.  I really like this vet & will take Aspen to help with his pancreatitis.  Dr. S said that Maghs has heat & is trying to help her get rid of it.  So far she seems to be doing well on her herbal mix.  Fortunately she loves alot of the foods that have cool.

We had a nice weekend.  I found a trail along the Little Lehigh River that will be a great place to walk the dogs.  I'm very excited about that.

Jackie, I LOVE your new siggie.

Annie, that's great news about Maghee's vet visit!  Good girl, Mags!

I need some advice from you guys.  I haven't been on facebook very long and don't know all the proper etiquette, if any. lol  There is an attorney I know thru work who has sent me a friend invitation.  I don't really want to have him reading my fb page, etc.  Not that I put anything up that I'm ashamed of but I do complain about stuff at work sometimes and I just don't feel comfortable since my relationship with him is strictly work and I want it to stay that way. He is not an attorney that does work for us, he handles some property that we work on.  He's sort of a country bumpkin type of a guy but he's sort of tricky too.   Do I just ignore his invitation on fb?  What do I say if, the next time I talk to him on the phone he mentions it?  Plead the Fifth?
