She even kept all of her needles in & started snoring.

Re: Meg -- they won't keep her IN the hospital -- she just went to the Er to get the bite tended to.

Jackie - If it were me, I'd just ignore the invitation. If he asks again just play it off like you don't really use it that much and don't say anything more. I personally think that if you make a friendship request and don't hear anything, you've gotten your answer and should let it go.

Callie - I got goosebumps just thinking about what Meg went thru. I feel awful for her and Pirate. Please let us know how they're both doing and send our warm wishes. If there's anything we can do to help, let us know.

I was saying all last week that I felt like I was in a fog at work. Well, I placed a huge lunch order for a meeting this week before I left on Friday. The guy who filled in for me is still working (thank goodness!) and noticed I'd put Sept 10th instead of Sept 11th. That would've been a huge problem if he hadn't caught it Embarrassed. Now I feel even more nervous and stressed about messing something up and we have two big meetings I have to coordinate in the next week or so. If anyone spots my brain lying around, please return it to me.

Jackie, I would just ignore the friend request.  If he says anything just claim that you rarely use FB.

We're home! We lived! Thanks all! I made a post in general for all the gory details. I think me and Pi are just going to lay low today, I might skip class tonight even. The tetanus shot was the worst part, sheesh! Talk about painful!
    • Gold Top Dog

Yay - Meg, it's so good to hear from you. You guys both deserve some rest. I hope the arm doesn't hurt too much from the Tetanus shot. I've heard that warm compresses can help.
    • Gold Top Dog

yes, keep warm compress, or I think an ice pack, those things can swell up bad!  My co worker got a tetnus show (voluntarily lol) and it bruised up, was very sore and swelled up for about a week after she got it.

Cathy, nice going on the luncheon order!  I'll look for your brain right after I locate mine!

Jackie, you're just jealous that Amanda has a stalker, aren't you?  You had to go and get one, too.  LOL!

Thanks Callie.  Dr. S gave me a list of cool foods.  2 of the things on it that I can remember are 2 of Maghee's favorite foods.  Watermelon & brocolli.  Over the weekend she was having a bad day & I gave her some watermelon.  That was all she was interested in eating.  Anyway, I think it helped her some.  Well that & putting her in a room & turned on the a/c to that room.  I think that by the time Iknow how to handle her good & bad days she'll not need me anymore.

    • Gold Top Dog

Boy, I'm sorry that happened.  And Jackie?  If I'd been there you'd have had to hold me back so you could put the jerk in the ER.

OK now.....you MUST follow up and make sure that dog is current on rabies.  If not, you MUST have the series yourself.  Yep, it really sucks, and yep, it hurts like hades when they stick the needle right into the bites, but after that it's not so bad.....just a shot in the rump.  You really MUST protect yourself.

    Poor you....and poor Pirate.

DH just called to tell me that he found the missing remote.....sitting in the fridge.  Somebody please explain to me how the remote gets in the fridge????

I know, I know!!!  Man carries remote with him to kitchen while looking for snack.  Can't leave remote alone or someone else might get it.  Man opens fridge door w/one hand and when he reaches with the other to get what he wants, realizes it won't fit in other hand because of remote.  Man sets remote on shelf in fridge to grab what he wants.  Lets go of door, it shuts.  Now out of sight, out of mind.  And, heaven forbid the remote actually ended up behind something else because when man tries to re-trace his steps, he won't think to look behind anything in the fridge (much like when he is searching for his favorite item that may have ended up pushed back behind a larger item, and he can't see it when he opens the door).

Uh - yeah.  You accidentally carry it to the kitchen and lay it on a fridge shelf while you're getting other stuff out (says the lady who has never, never done that Embarrassed) ... and really ... putting it in the fridge is so much better than putting it in the oven or flushing it. I was afraid that maybe Bevo had swallowed it. Big Smile I just had the city inspection. Holy Crap!  I've got to get permits for stuff that was done  without them like 20 years ago.  That's the reason I always had stuff done by licensed professionals ... I figured they'd *know* what needed permits and what didn't. Someone is going to come by tomorrow and go over all this stuff with me so I don't wind up pulling my hair out or putting my head in the oven or something. I'm surprised this city doesn't make you get a permit for changing your brand of TP.

Amanda - when someone explains to me how my PHONE ends up in the fridge - I'll tell you how the remote got there.

Jackie - I'd ignore it. Personal/professional life are very different. If he asks - just say you never saw one; becuase you don't use it very much. Just make sure your page is private - and all will be well. Depending on your relationship with him - you could just be completely honest and say you're just not comfortable with it. Nothing wrong with that at all!

    I made cookies =]
