Okay, here's my Zpuppy. P-A-R-T-Y girl:
She's just 7.5 mos old

Her homeless "twin"

What an absolute little doll-boy!! Tyler is a gorgeous, little, red and white boy; everyone who's met him has fallen madly in love with him. He is in perfect physical condition and received all his shots and his neuter as soon as we had our hot little hands on him.

And another homeless "twin" (I don't know who had the bright idea of mixing a basenji and a JRT, but Skip looks like an awesome agility dog!!!!)
! I am Skippy, a Basenji-Jack Russell mix. I'm almost 8-months-old, and am full of energy! I love to play with big dogs and hope to find a home with a doggy sister who can keep up with me. I had a wonderful home with three little kids and a cat, but my energy level was way too much for my family. They were very sad to let me go, but said it was the best thing to do. I like children, cats, and big dogs, and am learning to channel my energy so that a new family will adopt me. I'm learning a lot at doggy day care.

Skippy is a happy young dog with the energy of a Jack Russell in the body of a Basenji. With continued training and structure, this young dog will be a marvelous companion. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and full of enthusiasm. This is a very high energy dog.

I don't find it so much depressing as... well, it is depressing a little but I like to think that we can make people better aware of the fantastic dogs currently in shelters and rescues. So many seem to think it's just ugly or sick or defective dogs, and if we can show people that there are dogs out there, just like our dogs, who are waiting for a loving forever home, maybe someone will see and consider adoption when at first they had not.

Here's Jake's twin "George"

George came to us from a shelter in central NC where he was picked up as a stray. George was afraid of everything when we got him and shows signs of prior abuse. he has settled in with the pack of 8 other Brittanys here and is getting along very well. George is learning the leash and settles down for a walk after a moment of reassurance that things are OK.
All this boy needs is a good home with lots of love and assurance that it is OK to love again. He will warm up to you and give 10 fold the love and attention you give him. George does love to play and would also make a great companion for anyone that needs someone to love.

George is currently in rescue in NC
