A fun game-->Clones of your dogs for adoption

This was done on Dogster once and I think it's not only fun but a good opportunity to highlight some of the dogs currently in shelters and rescues....

Using Petfinder or your favorite breed rescues can you find a dog currently available for adoption who appears to be a clone of your own dog? Please provide pictures and links!

I'll start:

Conrad's Clone:
Kelso, a bloodhound mix being fostered by the American Black and Tan Coonhound Rescue:

His ears are a bit longer than Conrad's, and he's still a pup so he's black markings are darker than Conrad's (Conrad is going grey around the muzzle). But still I think a pretty good match for a mutt!

And Marlowe, who's a lot easier given he's purebred (but there's a lot of variation in coonhounds because most of them are not bench dogs but workers), so I tried to find one who's temperament description was also a match:

She's reportedly very calm and enjoys the company of people, much like Marlowe. And you can see the resemblance!

Oh my - you are so going to get me in trouble.

A) I'm about to waste about 2 hours with as many dogs as I have!! And I'm supposed to be working!!!!!

B) I'm going to go home with those sad little eyes. The ones that lead to 'but how much can just one more dog cost??'. Sheesh. I can see the divorce papers already!!

You are soooo in trouble. I was looking for Candy's clone first. Came across a few,but the first had a tail and Candy doesn't. The next doesn't get along with any other animals. The third doesn't get along with female dogs. Candy gets along with everyone. Here's the fourth I found:

Hildi is a Rottweiler mix. She looks totally Rottie excedpt she has a tail. She also appears to be very pregnant. Hiddi is as sweet as they come. She is just very sad right now................. Animals at this facility are subject to euthanasia after a 3 day holding period. Owner turn-ins have no required holding period. The shelter has only 19 dog kennels. PLEASE call the shelter at 706-857-0679 ASAP if you are interested in adoption or rescue.

Candy is spayed, so not like her there. She was spayed young too, so never been preggers. But now I want to go pull this poor girl. OMG - her being euth'd while preg? Oh, just drive a stake right through my heart now.

Alright, I was well into Virginia and gave up on Candy. There's just no clone of her. All rottie, though on the soft older side. Sweet and loving to a fault. Candy has no clone.

So, we go to Tyson. This is the closest I'll find:

This is the best I can do for Duval. Duval is a total pansy and chicken, and this one says it's a snuggle bug.

Butchie's clone is Bruno and I think they look more alike than any of the others so far:

Bruno is a young adult male Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, at about 12 pounds, and one year of age. He has a smooth red coat, and he has the look of a Chihuahua. His personality traits favor those of the Chihuahua breed. He is playful, loving and sweet. He loves lots of attention, and will need a home where he will receive lots of love. Wow! I didnt think I'd ever find a chi with Belle's coloring, but I did - and close to me. Makes me wonder if they came from the same BYB and wound up homeless.

I even found one that looks shockingly like puppy two, the latest rescue from this weekend. It's a male and puppy 2 is a female, but man do they look alike!

Artie is our favorite of the entire litter. He is the calmest, the sweetest, and the smartest. The first to know his name, the first to use the puppy pads, the first to RUN to the gate when he hears us coming. He is in the process of being housetrained and has yet to have an accident in his crate or in the house. He's a bit unsure of "outside" yet, but once he's in the lawn, he's happy as a clam. Like all of our dogs, Artie will be healthy to the best of our knowledge, neutered before he will be released and be up to date on all of his shots. The Adoption fee for Artie will be $100. He will be altered August 16

Wizard's owner had to give him up for health reasons. He is a gorgeous 3 yr. old Pap boy and look at that tail! I am told he seems to prefer women but was in a household with a married couple. Small children do make him nervous. Wizard is very affecionate and a wonderful little lap dog.
