Glenda, I think everyone hears their own voice totally differently than other people hear it. I hate mine too, but I've had a lot of people tell me it was pleasant, at least on the phone.

Same here, not that I think Glenda should add more work to her list.  I wouldn't do it no matter how good my voice sounded, just on principle or stubborness maybe. lol

Erica, that was the neatest story about the couple getting married at the shelter.  I don't know what I liked more, the donations for the shelter, the music they played walking down the aisle or the litter box wedding cake with pooper scoopers.  ROFL!   It was sad about that shelter in KY that flooded in Dawn's rain event.  I watched that news clip after the wedding.

Well, off to rustle up dinner.  Not motivated.  I think there's a Stouffers lasagna in the freezer.

haha - yea - it was SO much fun putting together! Started as a total joke - and we just ran with it! We even made little bow-tie collars for the cats in the bridal party...haha

Meg, have you recently started using a new detergent or fabric softener?  This same thing happened to my dad a while back.  He started getting a rash where his clothes came into contact with his skin.  It was the same detergent my parents always used, but either a) they made a slight change in formula, or b) he just developed an allergy to it.  Both happen.  You could try using one of those dye and fragrance-free detergents if you suspect that's what caused it.  No matter the cause, I hope it goes away soon!!

30 minutes til the new season of Monk starts!! Tho I'm totally sad that it's the final season.  **sniffle**

AMAZING jog tonight.  I normally do a 3-mile jog, and I decided to take Eli with me, as a normal-pace walk has NOT been satisfiying him lately.  He merrily out-paced me the entire way, and arrived home still brimming with energy and giving me this look like "What a great warmup!  So what are we going to do now?". Stick out tongue The great added bonus to jogging with him is that I spent the whole time trying to keep up with him, and I logged a new personal best time on the mile!  Woohoo!

Lisa, I hope that you're enjoying your bottle of wine!

Dawn, it sucks that some of your plants were ruined, but I'm so happy that some of them survived, & that with a little TLC, some will hopefully make a strong comeback.

Heather, any time that you have to ask "is it time to go home yet?" automatically means that it is indeed time to go home.

Megan, any time I have a rash, even if it doesn't itch, it itches. If that makes sense...

    Paige, how is Gracie today?

Tina, fingers crossed that your son finds a job soon.

Congrats on the great run, Lisa!

My leg has finally stopped, well, rotting for lack of a better word. They didn't re-pack it today, which was the highlight of my day. I broke down & took a pain pill this morning because my leg was killing me. That proved to be a bad idea, it knocked me goofy. My secretary called DH to come get me because I was slurring, stumbling, & dozing off while I was trying to work on a project. When I got home, I took a nap, & woke up feeling a little better. I still feel off. I suppose that I won't take those again.

Wow, Amanda, I sure hope that heals up soon!

I love Psych.  They just made a hilarious reference to how their concept was completely ripped off by The Mentalist.  Viva Shawn and Gus!

I'd heard that too. I love the Mentalist a lot too though. Love that guy that stars in it :)

Me too!  I think the main difference between the  two is the The Mentalist is definitely a drama while Psych is for sure a comedy. I've got both of them set to tape all season.

Lord, am I glad this week is OVER.  I worked seven extra hours, put in time at the shelter, walked Gypsy, took care of a neighbor's adult (developmentally delayed) 41 YO daughter until the EMTS came for her, listened to my sister's plans for Las Vegas (grrr, why can't I go? whiiine), planned DS#2's birthday, took DS#2 to take his permit test which he failed a SECOND time, dealt with DS#2's major 'tude as a result of this, cooked, cleaned, exercised, did my nails and to top it off, we had a hot date tonight...grocery shopping at Winco and WalMart.  Do I know how to live or what? God, I am exhausted and DH just informed me he wants us to do a 10K Sunday morning!

Everyone at work in my department seems to be going on vacation this month. One of my favorite coworkers, a young man I have known since he was in elementary school ( he's now 20) is leaving for school..WaaaaaaaaahhhhCryingCrying.  If a certain coworker calls in ONE MORE TIME with a migraine of depression, I am going to flatten all her tires because guess who bucks up and takes up the slack?  Yep, yours truly . JUST SHOOT ME NOW.

I have some time off in September and some more in November.  Google the Old Wheeler Hotel in (where else?) Wheeler, OR for a look at where we are staying. It's our favorite place on the coast and it's quiet, beautiful and CHEAP. We are both soooo frazzled that we want to go NOW.
