How long does it take you . . . . . .(Deb W.)

For work - I get up at 7:10, potty the dogs, am in the shower by 7:20, and leave for work 7:45/7:50.  I shower, do minimal shaving (pits and/or below the knees if I need to), make-up, and half-dry my hair but it's pretty short right now.  If I'm going to a wedding or something like that, it might take more like an hour, if I'm completely shaving and completely drying my hair and styling it (for work I just wear it down as-is with bobby pin on one side, or a ponytail).

30 mins, including drive time. But my drive time is about 5 mins

So...it takes me a pretty long time in the mornings.   I remember being a morning person when I was in high school...not anymore!

Fiance wakes up at 5:15am every morning - showers, eats breakfast, feeds the birds, feeds the fish and is out the door by 7:40.  The birds take the majority of that time, probably about 45 minutes to an hour.

I wake up around 6:30 - make our lunches, sit around and drink tea, watch tv, shower etc., minimal makeup, usually dont bother drying my hair, feed the dogs, put them out, and I'm out the door at 8:40am.  I must watch a mind numbing show and drink tea in the morning to wake up.  Otherwise I'm very grumpy.

Well....if it's a regular day when I'm not doing anything special about 20-30 minutes: shower, throw on clean clothes, run a comb through my hair, that's it. If we're going somewhere special about 60 minutes: shower, blow dry/straighten hair, make up (minimal), get dressed. I'm very low maintenance. Breakfast is 10mins, usually a small bowl of cereal and I pick up an iced coffee on the run at Dunkin's.

lol, my idea of getting ready now adays is a brief 5 minute shower where I am hopeful my 2 year old is enraptured enough with the show "word world" that those 5 minutes are in peaceful blissful calgon take me away harmony! lol

Oh, another Word World-er! Addisen is obsessed with "Wuh Woorl." It's even worse now that we started going onto the website because she now equates both the tv and laptop with "Wuh Woorl!!"

As far as leaving the house goes...

If it's just me who has to get out of the house in the morning...45 min for makeup, hair, get dressed, eat breakfast, and walk out the door. Now, if we're all going somewhere, Brett feeds and takes out the dogs, which seems to take forever. Then we have to pack Addisen's diaper bag and round her up and get her dressed. That takes at least an hour and a half, and that's on a good day.

An hour and a half for a full job, which includes shower and washing hair, makeup, drying hair, ironing my uniform shirt, eating something, and dragging my feet in between....45 minutes of that is drying hair though, I have really long thick hair and sometimes I like to dry it and style it...if I leave it damp or don't wash it at all then 45 mins.

15 minutes, tops. Put my 'eyes' in, brush teeth, change into scrubs (OMG, I love wearing a uniform), get my purse & lunchbox, and go. I pack my lunch and decide which scrub top to wear at night. I eat in the car, usually something carby like toast or a bagel and some OJ. The carby thing toasts while I get dressed in the downstairs bathroom.

BF does all of the AM dog stuff, now, since Pirate REFUSES to get up at 5:30. He lays in his crate and will roll over on his side when I stick my head in to say bye, LOL.

During the week, I have to leave the house no later than 5:20, so I do most of my prep the night before.  I make lunches the night before for everyone, put everything I need for work in the car (briefcase, purse, and in the winter this includes my lunch), I do my shower, lay out my clothes, etc. so in the AM I can sleep as long as possible...which is until 4:00.  I get up walk Charlie for about 45 minutes, rinse off in the shower without getting hair wet, feed Charlie and touch up hair, make-up and get dressed.  So the getting ready part only takes about 1/2 hour.

If just DH and I are going out, 45 minutes.  If i have to throw Riley and Charlie in the mix, 1 1/2 hours - that includes straightening my hair, battling with Riley's hair and taking Charlie out to pee, and packing up all the junk that goes along.  For some reason, DH takes just as long and he doesn't seem to do anything other than shave, shower and get dressed.  It's not like he has any hair (shaved head)!!  I am still always ready before him and usually sitting in the car waiting for him.

do minimal shaving (pits and/or below the knees if I need to

Ok, I thought I was the only one who did that, lol.  On weekends I do the full leg shave, but weekdays I'm in jeans or capris, so who cares, right?

Let's see...the dogs wake me up anywhere from 5am-6am.  I let them out to pee, then feed them, then we go back to bed.  My alarm goes off at 7:30, I shower, pull my wet hair back into a ponytail, dress (casually), go downstairs, let the dogs out to poop/play in the yard while I eat a bowl of cereal and prepare my coffee in a travel mug, fix some sandwiches for BF and I for lunch, then head out the door.  BF gets up around 6:15, and I honestly have no clue what he and the dogs do while he's downstairs, before he leaves and lets them back into the bedroom with me.

I'm usually out the door by about 8:15.

haha... 15 minutes. I shower at night normally, if not - the 30 minutes in the AM.

I let the dog out, put on my scrubs, brush my teeth, locate my shoes - which could be anywhere by this pont... and I'm out the door. I usually pick up coffee on my way in... I sleep until the last possible second... Embarrassed

If i go to work...maybe 30 minutes. Thank God for ponytails and scrubs!

If i'm going somewhere trying to look nice complete with styled hair and makeup...about an hour.

I'm an old guy. I have a weird knot in my back and 0 degrees of arc in my lower back. My left knee is weak from water on the knee as a child, a career of kneeling on concrete has built up a calcium deposit. About 6 years ago, I tore the intermedial cartilege in that knee. Now, the right knee is acting similar.I have a physically active job that places all kinds of stress for varying amounts of time on the body. So, I get up and it takes about 20 to 30 minutes of coffee and wishful thinking to get mobile. Sometimes, a bit of Motrin helps. But after about 50 minutes, I get dressed, make a lunch and get out the door. Tomorrow, that will be in addition to getting the trash out to the curb. I take my showers at night because I get dirty during the day and don't want to track dirt into bed. So, I don't have to shower in the morning, though I will wet my hair down to make it behave, just for a little while.

For some reason, DH takes just as long and he doesn't seem to do anything other than shave, shower and get dressed.

Right!? My DH takes LONGER than me! He's in the shower for 20-30+ minutes EVERY morning! On the weekends he doesn't even shave and he just throws on jeans/shorts and a t-shirt!

My husband...takes TWENTY MINUTE SHOWERS...yeah. REEE DIC ULOUS!! I used to wonder what he did in there, but then I realized that I probably did not want to know. LMBO.

I usually wake up at 4:15 in the morning. I start a load of laundry & then the dogs & I go for an hour run/swim. When we get back to the house they get a quick hosedown. I go to the shower while they cool off. When I get out of the shower, I feed them & let the out into the yard for a while. Then I take care of hair & makeup. Next, I grab breakfast, fix the kid's lunches for the day, toss the laundry into the dryer, & wash the dishes. Then, I get dressed, let the dogs in & head out. I usually leave the house by 7:00. It probably takes me 30-4f minutes to get myself ready. It's all the other stuff that takes a bit!
