Mindless Chatter Weekend

 We're up.  I'm taking my boys herding in 30 minutes!!  It stormed all night but now the sun is out and we are all cooking.  The dogs are already banished to the yard b/c Nikons foot is bleeding and Coke is blowing coat.

 Ari and I did a 3 mile walk this morning (my ankle is FINALLY healed), and later she'll go out for a romp off leash with the SO.  Then later today she'll come with us to Massachusetts for a BBQ at friends.  It'll be her first time, really, that she'll be around a lot of people, but not at our house.  This should be interesting.  We're going to do our best to wear her out before the car ride. 

We took the dogs for their walk and had to cut it short, already hot and humid.  We are going to a pool party later but not really looking forward to it much.  Too hot, even with a pool available.  I am feeling out of sorts a little and wish I hadn't gotten up so darn early on my day off. 

  My dogs are so used to eating frozen food that today when I cooked them their food, they are nibbling at it like its scalding hot...too funny.  And Crusher keeps looking up at me like he just doesn't get the joke.  Ok, its warm and you can't pick it up out of the bowl and wander around the kitchen, I get that, just eat!

Looks like a park kind of day today.  I'd rather be camping, but we can't have it all right?

There's a house for rent just down the street from me, Tyler is going to call about it later today.  It would be nice for the girls to have him that close, and since neither of us has a car right now, it would be handy.  Plus he could come here and hang out here once in a while, so I could take the dogs to the beach at night.  So *Fingers Crossed*

 Busy morning today - took B to the lake but it was full of distractions that were making my job too darn hard so we headed home after about 30 minutes.  Jackie I just posted a video that is bound to make you chuckle.  Then we went for a walk/jog and caught him to his girl Bella the golden which was joyous

I've also done laundry, changed the sheets, run the dishwasher, swept the floors and porch and made a list for DH to take to Costco.  He'll buy double the amount of things that are on the list but one less thing for me to do.

Tonight we are going to celebrate our 12th anniversary (which is tomorrow).  We are going to have a wander around downtown, try a new Italian restaurant and have a nightcap.  Looking forward to it, not supposed to be too hot or humid so that is good and I really enjoy wandering around downtown.

Going to have a quick lunch now, do some much needed gardening, and have a nap

OK I missed something.................... but I hope it works out

I slept way late for me today.  Woke up at 6 and let myself doze back off, repeatedly.  Now I feel like a slug.

So what is it with my dogs BLOWING this time of year?  Sheba normally only does a heavy fall blow, but my gosh, everyone else is just going nuts and the fur is driving ME nuts.  I brush and brush and brush and clean and clean and clean and I can't seem to get rid of the piles of  fur.  I can literally go through a room and have it spotless and by the time I get the next one done, the first is full of fur again.  Sigh.....

Woke up too early myself but that's the norm for the weekend. I finished up some cleaning, did the elliptical and then DH got off work. He's at the gym now, so I'll take a shower and make us a big breakfast. I can tell he had a busy shift with little sleep, so I'm sure it'll be a laid back day for us. Fine with me

Jackie - I know that when it's blazing hot here, even having a pool doesn't help. You almost have to stay in the water the whole time and eventually that doesn't feel refreshing. Hopefully there'll be some shade for you.

Ahhh, I love, love, love my new hair! So much lighter to wear now. Good to have nice healthy hair.

We have such a good breeze right now. My clothes are drying fast on the line! Lily is having a blast swimming in the pond and chasing bugs!

It's breezy here this morning too but I think it's supposed to be 90ish and then heating up to mid-90s in the next few days.

I got my hair cut yesterday too and it feel so much lighter and easier to wash and dry.  I am not into fussing with my hair, at all.  We are back from the pool party.  The food was good but it was soooooo hot.  And don't drink lemonade with vodka, it seemed like a good idea at the time but I think it may have been a mistake.   Might just be the heat though.  I think I'll take a short nap, naps cure everything, we have established that. lol  Later.

Jackie - I'm sure the heat didn't help but add in the lemonade and vodka and I wouldn't be feeling to great either. I hope the nap helped.

DH had been chomping at the bit to buy a new flatscreen TV. I always know that once he starts "researching" it's only a matter of time before he'll make the purchase. I went to take a nap and when I woke up he was smiling and feeling quite pleased with himself. He found the one he wanted for a good price and went ahead and ordered it. I have to admit I'm pretty excited about it myself and can't wait for it get here.

 I saw the strangest thing today.

There was this pile of brush on fire and a man was standing there with a leaf blower helping the fire get the brush burnt. 

That man was JJ.

I had an appointment with a realtor yesterday and she pretty much lit a fire under by butt to get this show on the road.  She gave me the number of her handyman since I haven't been able to connect with mine (he's going to call me back on Monday) and I need to clear any clutter off the dining room table and the kitchen counters and either toss it or store it.  I think she's hoping to get the house listed sooner rather than later this month.  Yea!!
