I am camping this weekend. Yay. Its so relaxing. The dogs are enjoying themselves. My brother got the d90 camera and took some great frisbee pics with neiko.

    5 days to yellowstone. Wohoo.

Joyce - please don't go..I'll miss you :(. No seriously though, I hope you get a great price and if I had the opportunity to move to San Diego, I'd be packing up right now. Good luck!!

So what is it with my dogs BLOWING this time of year

I hear you about the coat blow. Shadow usually blows his undercoat in April but not this year. He is blowing coat now. We had a cold, wet spring so I imagine the coat stayed in longer. Now, we have high heat and he needs to blow coat before fall, as the new coat will grow in.

DH had been chomping at the bit to buy a new flatscreen TV. I always know that once he starts "researching" it's only a matter of time before he'll make the purchase.

LOL my DH is apparently your DH's long lost twin.  I waiting to hear what car he buys as he has been surfing the net for cars.  Not good!

Well we had a great time in Raleigh tonight.  It was so busy!  Feels very cosmopolitan.  We didn't realize it but the the band in the park tonight was Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.  JAM packed - DH (English) said who is Joan Jett LOL The thing is that every part of society passed us by as we hung out. I mean right there at the entrance to the park/square were two signs with Bible verses on it and saying turn back now while the tranvestites, country bumpkins, punk rockers, young people, bikers, families and retirees wandered through.  Awesome people watching. Thats all!

Joyce, I didn't know you were moving. Good luck selling your place. Sending ~~top dollar~~ vibes your way.

I had a great day. DH, Rupert, Willa and I went hiking around a waterfall. Then we went home and went out to eat with his mom and some relatives visiting from out of town. After that we all went on a pontoon boat ride.

It was nice, but for the last few days Willa has been acting like a TURD in her car seat. Whiny whiny. I felt all around and couldn't find anything that could be uncomfortable. Very annoying. I'm hoping it's just a *quick* phase.

Thanks for the good vibes Cathy and Janice.  The realtor said she was going to list it for 515K ... a lot in some places but pretty par for the course here. That's about 40K less than she would have listed it for a couple of years ago Crying but still a hefty chunk more than I've got left to pay on it.  Smile There are so many foreclosures where I'm planning to go that I'm sure I'll find something. Davis didn't have more than two or three, so the prices still look high here compared to a lot of other places.

Oh Joyce...toooooo cool!! I know that you've been wanting to do this and I'm glad that now feels right for you.  Fast, big bucks vibes coming your way!

It is so pretty this morning, and pleasantly cool as well.  Think I'll try for a bit longer walk this morning...but only if I get my butt out there and get started!

It's beautiful this morning here too! Another great day I hope. I'm trying to find reasons to be outside today. Hanging up laundry, pulling weeds from the garden, sweep off the porch... that should keep me busy for a while.

We should have walked earlier because it sure got hot quick.  We were all dragging near the end and happy to get back in the a/c.  This is the first time in many years that I haven't made it to the cluster dog show here.  Just never could get it worked out but just may run down there later to catch best in show.   Now to get a few chores done.

Joyce, I hope your house sells quickly and I am so jealous that you're moving to San Diego. :)   Did your realtor tell you to have cookies baking when they show the house?  I have read that and always figured I would gain 100lbs unless my house sold fast. LOL

Baking cookies?  Joyce?  I know you don't like MAKING stuff in the kitchen.  Maybe the slice and bake type?

Aww c'mon Glenda!  People ask me for recipes all the time and every once in awhile I can actually give them one instead of sending them to the Schwan's website or  telling them where in Costco to find it. Big Smile Open houses usually last for a couple of hours.  Wouldn't they burn in that length of time?  Maybe I'll buy some to set out or just throw a bloody chunk of some dead animal in the slow cooker with a bottle of stuff dumped on it.  That should smell pretty good.

On the blowing coat thing....add Kord to the list! In the last 4 weeks I was pulling tons of hair off him and my floors were turning grey. Early hard winter indicator?

I have a migraine today, fancy that....spent alot of time in the garden yesturday and outside, stooopid allergies.

I have a recipe for a cobbler made with zucchini that is suppose to resemble apple cobbler...I have picked 15 zucchini off 7 plants in the past week. Good thing I have lots of friends!

Ah, the age old fun trying to find inventive ways to deal with the squash harvest!  LOL   I never grow squash, I know my friends will provide.  :)

My mom has a fabulous chocolate zucchini cake recipe - it's super moist because of the zucchini but other than that you can't tell there's any veggies in it. :)

    • Gold Top Dog

Hmmm.....I love using veggies in desserts, kind of takes the sting out of "eat your veggies!" Chocolate and zucchini? how can you go wrong?

I am a huge fan of carrot cake as well.

Just finished watching Australia. I am not a Nicole Kidman fan, never was, but my husband and I laughed and really enjoyed the movie.
