Mindless chatter Friday

 I thought it was Saturday No wonder I didn't get my regular email I get every Friday I kept on and on checking it lmao Duh It's Friday today.

I saw in Thursday's chat about all the stuff Amanda's hubby did to help her out yesterday.  I wondered if he has a brother w/ similar qualities?

Tina, he has four brothers.  Two of them are almost 30.  The other two are 26.  They are all great guys, & I'll happily hook you up!

Karen, I think that you need a rifle.  One good shot, & your deer problem will be eliminated.  (And Bugsy will have food too!)  If you aren't a gun, kinda gal, then I can send Bevo & Chyna your direction.  Bevo has caught two deer so far.  (Both times on our property.)   As soon as he takes them down, Chyna helps finish them off.

I woke up this morning & decided to take the dogs for a long run.  Seven miles later, we made our way to Starbucks.  Then we walked the last half mile home, so that I could sip my coffee.  Now, everyone except Bevo, is napping.  I need to get my clothes into the suitcase, but I just haven't done it yet.

 BF got laid off this morning.

I don't understand.  We're on the same team @ work.  I'm the one with the least senority.  He works packages, I work ship loose.  We've had a good deal more package work that ship loose.  This makes no sense to me.  Not that I don't want my job, but it seems like it should have been me.

Proper name is collared peccary.  Small (30-40lbs) pig like animals.  They are found in dry, brush country and this is the first year we have seen so many in our area.  They are interesting animals but not good to eat like pigs.  Take my word on that...

Tina, I'm glad I don't have to send the thugs after you.  Go get some chocolate for your reward. :)  And don't feel bad about feeling like a dork on your swap stuff.  I felt the exact same way yesterday when I was packing mine to send, which will happen today. It's the thought that counts, right?

I thought I read somewhere or maybe saw on TV about areas of Texas practically being overrun by wild hogs.  Made me think of that book - was it "Hannibal" or "Hannibal Rising" with the wild pigs in it that killed people?  I never saw the movie. 

Yeah, the thought counts.  I'm pretty sure I shopped with my brain that day...LOL

I'm probably too old for them at 42.  But I've been told I look 10 years younger and some of my son's straight friends think I qualify as a MILF.  If things don't work out in my current relationship, which has been floundering, I may be taking a road trip...LOL.  Good thing my b/f doesn't read this forum.

Oh man, I'm really sorry. I can't imagine going in to work one day and getting that kind of news. I be thinking of you guys.

Steph, I'm really sorry to hear your bf got laid off.  He must be in shock.  I'll be hoping he can find something new soon.

Tina, you are officially kicked out of the old broads club. LOL  You're way too young and pretty.  Form a barely middle aged, good looking broads club.

DH & Bugsy have been formulating a plan.  Problem is I think they will sleep through the merry herd's arrival Since this is the second year running that they have terminated my produce I am not averse to he & B having venison.  There is room in the freezer

DH is off today and has decided that we will have a nice mexican meal for lunch (new place that he has tried I have not) and then see Public Enemy.  No way I will have the survey done by then - ugh!

Steph, sorry about your b/f's job status.  Maybe you were kept because you're paid less?  Maybe there's a no-fraternization policy at work, your relationship was discovered, and this is how one of you was transferred?  Just throwing those thoughts out there.  Regardless, it sucks!

Makes sense, but everyone knew and we specifically told our boss (who checked w/ HR) so that if it was a problem we wouldn't be blindsided.  Paid less could be, though I don't think its much less.  

Thanks for the thoughts everyone.  I'm hoping this just ends up being one of those things that, when looking back on later, was for the best.

Good catch, Cathy!    Tina, you are fully reinstated in the old broads club pending initiation rites which include sending the other members chocolate and maybe some margaritas.
