12 week u/s: major prayers needed

Emily - I can't imagine what you and your husband must be feeling at this time. I wish I could give you a real hug but a virtual hug will have to do (((HUG))). I will pray for you and for the baby. Someone sent me this the other day and it gave me comfort. I hope it will do the same for you.

Thank you all so much. You cannot know how much I appreciate all your words and support. That verse in isaiah is one of my favorites adn has been a comfort in many times in my life. Today I am doing physically better. And I am holding strong as we wait for the results. I am also encouraged by some stories I have read on the internet. My MIL came over this morning and we went out and about. It was nice to get out and not think about everything. And then nice to be able to talk about it when I wanted. I took a short nap and DH came home early. I am in an ok place.

 My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this difficult time.  The Lord will take care of you and your little one.  He has a plan for everything and everyone.  Take care and remember "God Answers Knee Mail"  ((((HUGS))))

Emily my thoughts and prayers are definately with you!  I am a firm believer in prayer, I have just seen a miracle of prayer in our small community with a darling baby who has finally been able to go home from the hospital after being 60 days premature.  I have also witnessed a miracle of a birth many years ago with a similar intestinal problem and he is a fine healthy adult now.  Keep the faith, we will all be here for support.  One of my favorite prayers;

Help me to remember, Lord, that nothing's going to happen today that you and I can't handle together!

Heck and here I was feeling all sorry for myself having just had my fourth period... You have my every thought and prayer winging it's way to you.  Hang in there little one, and be strong.

Emily - just talked to my mom and she and her sisters (and me too) are going to start saying novenas for you, the baby, and your family. 

For those who don't know what it is...

In the Catholic Church, a novena is a devotion consisting of prayer said (most typically) on nine successive days, asking to obtain special graces. These may consist of small prayer books, recitation of the Rosary, or small prayers through the day. There are four recognized categories of Novenae, those of mourning, preparation, prayer, and those which are indulgenced, however, a given novena can belong to more than one of these categories

I swear they work miracles.  My mother and sister are proof of that - both had horrific accidents as babies were hanging by a string (mom dumped boiling water over 30% of body and aunt fell out of 4 story window), my granny firmly believed that they only made it through because of the prayers her and her sisters said since back then medicine wasn't what it was now.

I'm sending many, many prayers and hugs your way. Stay strong. One way or another, things will turn out as they are meant to.
