    Mindless Chatter Tuesday

Its raining in SE Texas this morning!!  Yay!!  We so desparately need the rain.  Hoping for nothing torrential, of course...but so happy!

Dogs are doing just fine through the thunder and lightning...Bruder is safe, sound and QUIET in his crate.  I do need to take them out for business though.

I WAS going to go work in the office today; but I may just wait until tomorrow.

Yay for you guys!  Some areas around us got some good rain yesterday evening and it skirted all around us this morning but we didn't get any more than a little shower.

Glad you're getting some rain down yonder.  Hopefully you'll get as much as you need, not just a tease.

Thanks everyone who posted in the other thread about the situation with my son.  Janice, he did go to the police station and filed a report.  Because there was also alcohol involved, and my son is only 20 (he was drinking, too), I don't know what will come of it.  He still didn't need to get beat up, regardless of whether or not alcohol fueled the fire of hatred.

Yesterday one of my bosses who lives 2 hours north of here and oversees our restaurants in that area of the state called me and said he was heading this way late in the evening and he was going to drop off some of the paperwork that the stores had ready for me.  I said, "to offset the fact that all you ever bring me is more work, some chocolate would be awesome!"  I was joking, didn't expect anything but paperwork, but when I came in this morning, on my desk was the box full of paperwork and a Hershey's bar!!  I emailed him and thanked him, told him I'd be able to get through the 2:00p slump today because of it.

Last night my b/f called me and tried to walk me through a possible fix for my shower situation.  Unfortunately, it didn't work.  Back to square one.  Oh well, I have chocolate.

Back to work for me from a long holiday weekend up north. It was wonderful and restful, but I am not ready to be back at work. The dogs had a great time, they are completely exhausted from swimming and playing non stop for 4 1/2 days. I think they all lost a bit of weight! We do feed them more but they are so active up there.

Today is Max's oncologist appointment so I do get to leave early to take her there. I have mixed emotions going into this. I know they are experts and if they can help Max they will, but I am not sure "I" can hear all the stuff they have to say. I know they need to present both sides of the coin. Max's mortality is not something I can deal with.

I hope you folks in TX get a soaking rain not one that comes down so hard it runs off the top of the surface. We have had quite a bit of rain around here. We have not needed to water our lawn yet. My dogs would not be quiet during a T-storm. Belle would but Max would have a fit, and Teddi is apprehensive but not really scared....yet. I hope she never gets that way.

Jewlieee if you read this email me!

Ann, here's a (((Hug))) for strength today at Max's appointment.

Indifferentedited out the wrong word.  I shouldn't type when I'm talking on the phone.

Yes, we'll be thinking about you and Max, Ann...sending you "be strong" vibes.

Oh, my grass is singing "I'm so happy!"  It literally is bright green.  Amazing how it livens up!

Heidi and Buddy did business while it was a soft slow sprinkle.  Bruder wanted no part of it.  Surely he has to pee.  He's laying cross legged.  Big Smile

    kidding.

Jamison's the same way - he can hold it FOREVER if it's raining.  Good vibes for the vet visit, Ann.

its raining here again today too.  Now, please not that I'm not fussing about that.  Whatever it takes for cooler temps I'm fine with!

You guys are NOT going to believe this.  Just as I was dumping my first bucket of green waste out by the road, the big truck pulled up.  Told the guy "I've got a lot more coming" and he said, "that's ok we're not in any hurry"  and they WAITED for me to fill my bucket twice more and carry it out and dump it!  So this big city truck just sat there and WAITED for me.  How cool is that???

I was pleased with how much I was able to do in "the garden not yet touched".  I weeded out about 4 feet, from front to back this morning.  Since there isn't as much that I'm concerned about saving in this one, it goes faster, and it didn't hurt that the ground was good and wet from yesterdays rain.  Anyone who saw the photo's of the first garden in "online communities" knows how deep the darned things are!  Didn't hurt at all that the temps were still in the 70's this morning!  That was a major help!

So today is another inside day from this point on, at least until the rain stops.  But, of course, I've got my lovely porch where I can stay dry.....but, somehow I think it's about time for me to give the house a good cleaning!

It's raining here too!  I passed four wrecks on the way into the office.  (I live about 5 minutes away.)  I'm not sure why people seem to forget how to drive when it's raining.

Ann, we're sending good vibes your way.  Good luck at the oncologist.

We say that every year when it snows.  People who live their whole lives in Michigan forget during those first snowfalls of the year how treacherous it can be.  Amazes me every winter without fail.Hmm

You guys in the south that need rain, please take it from us. I can't tell you how many days of rain we have had! Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights we had thunderstorms. Also thunderstorms during the day on Saturday.

Although, yesterday was absolutly beautiful. Unfortunatly I spent 4 hours of that driving. It is now drizzly, dark & gloomy. Texas can have our rain! Please?

At work and need to get back to it. Have a great day all!

Well, I kind of hate to brag but it's gorgeous here. Sunny but cooll this morning and should be 80ish later. I wish it was like this all year long.

I'm very sleepy today. I have a hair appt this afternoon, so that'll get me out of the office for a couple hours. Getting my hair done is only slightly better than working though. I love how my hair looks after the appt, but I hate sitting for that long.

Yikes.  Yes, very good vibes coming your way Ann.

Why is there absolutely NOTHING on TV but the MJ funeral?? It's a rainy indoor kind of day here, and nothing at all on the tube....

I seriously want to gag right now.

    That is all.
