Last night I got fed up with my hair, it was so long that when I walk dogs or exercise my ponytail is always coming loose.  Also it takes forever to dry and brush.  So, I went to the salon and got it hacked off.

Did me getting my hair done help you any? Lies I tipped mine 5 dollars and she didnt want to take it! She said she never gets tipped. I went to a woman that has her own shop and works alone. She has the same regular customers and none of them ever tip her apparently!

 I so need a hair cut too. I just don't want to spend the money. Why is it so hard for me to spend money on something like that?

But I bet you have no problem buying something for the dogs even though they dont need it?! 

I cant even get myself to buy an Eeyore shirt I want at Walmart. But heck if I saw something for Samantha or the dogs I wanted to get I'd get it with no second thoughts.

Oh my gosh what is with this rain and storms?! It's June and I dont recall it ever raining this much! Im sick of it. Joker is sick of it. Is this some kind of cruel joke because I now have a very highly energetic dog that isnt happy with hanging around in the house like Lillie and Fynn are while it rains and rains and rains and rains.........................

Anyone have room for Joker to vacation at that it isnt raining everyday or every night? He's got his bags packed and is at the airport.

The guy who's going to fill in for me when I have my surgery stopped by yesterday to pick up the fingerprint documents. He's a family friend of the boss and probably about 25 or 26 y.o. It just cracks me up to think of him doing this job but I'm glad to have someone to fill in.

Is he going to be coming in for brief training at all?  Don't give him too much info so he can't replace you!  LOL

I was out once for a week with the flu and another week when my son's dad died and each time it took me 3 months to catch up on all the work that piled up.  I'd like to think someone would cover for me if I had to be gone longer, but I don't know.  For some reason, paying all the bills for 24 restaurants scares people.  I do other stuff, but accounts payable is my main responsibility and it piles up quickly.  I think that someone would have to do the bare minimum, like making sure the utilities get paid so that they aren't shut off, but the rest would sit.

Me, me, pick me!!!  My yard is fenced, I have a crate that's not in use, and still have a couple of leashes and toys!  I'll be right there.

Gee, Glenda, if you're bored, you're more than welcome to come clean my house!  I meant to do it this weekend, honest, but I got lazy.  Besides, the dogs reeeeaallly wanted to go play at the river, so how could I say no?

Speaking of which, Oh..Mah...Gah...the ticks they picked up there!  Picked one off Sammy's face (attached!) while we were there.  Picked one off Harry once we got home (not attached, just crawling on him), BF found one crawling on HIMSELF , then found a dead one on the couch later that night.  (((shudder))) 

So I ordered some Skin So Soft yesterday from Avon's website, and am going to buy some rubbing alcohol and a plastic spray bottle to make Callie's bug-repellant concoction.  They love going to the river, I don't want to keep them away just because of the ticks, so I'll add it to the bag o' river supplies for frequent reapplications.

Yep, probably for at least a week. My job isn't rocket science but we have 40+ school sites all over the state and it can be very confusing when they start calling for this or that. I basically handle every detail of their purchases, timesheets, student records, etc. I felt like my head was going to explode for the first couple months on the job. I sense that my boss doesn't think I'm that busy since he's already got plans to have the temp do some data crunching for him. They really won't be able to put things off until I return, or at least I hope not. 8 wks is going to seem like a long time to them.

Cathy, hopefully they will keep up with stuff while your gone and your boss may just get his eyes opened.  You can only hope.

I just ate ramen noodles! I add cheese to mine. JJ thinks it's gross.

Aw, shucks.  I had a husky for 15 years - I know about digging!  I promise I won't take my eyes off him for a second.

June 11th-My people are wimps, they avoid the sky dropping water like it was coming from the vets office. My pool is empty, I need new frisbee's, something other than yeller and blue would be nice.

June 12th-They are still avoiding the sky dropping water, I heard Noah's ark and was excited till I realized she meant we needed it, not that new friends were coming over. My pool has alot of new water in it, how did they manage to turn that green snake on and get the water in there without me hearing it? Strange goings on...........

The weekend- I have new frisbee's! 10 of them, red, white and blue...fine I will take the blue but I don't have to like it. The water in my pool was to pretty, so I added some mud and cleaned all my frisbee's. Had to lay down for a doggymanicure....I was not happy and whined to show my displeasure, to bad she ignores it and calls me turkey boy.....what kind of name is TURKEY BOY???

June 15- More sky falling water, lot's and lot's of it, and how cruel is it to have raspberry chocolate chip and vanilla ice cream and not share, I mean really?? You won't let me play while the sky drops fall, and I get no treat? Not fair!

June 16- She was scritchen my back and found an owie lump I was itchen, while checking that out it opened and she screamed and I bolted, but then I had to go back and have her clean it up, now I have to take icky pills, get my haircut, the SKY IS DROPPING WATER again and she is talking V-E-T............my life is over! Over I tell you! Why can't I just go out and get dirty, boys get dirty, someone tell my mom! Please!

Kord - tell your mom that the lump on your back is from pent up energy busting out and going outside to play is required to prevent further trauma

 Joker says he's headed to Kord's to help him drive his humans nuts. And Fynn's coming along to help put some color to the pool.

haha.....the more the merrier at this point, if I did not have cream colored carpets I would give a flying fig tree what he did outside, but we rent, and while they might not look all that great after 10 years, I don't want to add anything.

On a serious note, I did open a cyst on his back this morning, last thing I expected, found the lump, went to move to turn on the lamp to see better and boom, it opened. I cleaned it up and woke the dh to tell him to keep an eye on it. I have some antibiotics left over from his last run in with the vet, so started him on those again. This nasty rain is playing havoc with his allergies, the poor thing is itching more than I like, and through chewing and scratching giving himself some bad spots. Anybody have a spray or a powder I can douse the boy with to relieve the itching?

Also I went from 1 or 2 doz weeds in my garden to about 5 zillion, it's great for my crops, but it quadrupled my weeds in 5 days. And the ground is to wet for me to even get in there. Please pray for a couple of dry days.

We need a "no rain" icon in Kentucky.
