I got fired today - don't wanna talk about it.

Sorry, Megan.  Road trip sounds like a great idea and I'd come with you if I could and we'd go see Steph. Twister and Pi man would make the best road trip dogs in the world. lol Darn, now I'm bummed because I can't go on a trip that may not even happen.  I better get back to work.

Sorry Megan!  If you do want to talk you know how to contact me! And as you fly through NC on your way to ME stop and see us Wink

I signed up for the race - my procrastination meant I had to go to the race location to sign up  and zowie it's huge!  More than 21,000 runners are signed up - I really just hope to do the race wander around and find my way back to my carIndifferent

Meg, I'm sorry to hear about your job loss.  Michigan is a bit out of the way if you head to Maine, though.  I feel so left out. Crying

Karen, how far are you running?   That's a lot of people - maybe more than are left in the whole state of Michigan...LOL

Sorry!! That stinks. If you want to get away to a sunny, non-humid area, you could come this way :)

On a similar note, the city and union reached a tentative agreement last night. It looks pretty good but they need all the legal folks to check it over first, so it won't go to firefighters to vote on until next week. Last time they had Mon., Tues. or Wed. to vote and then the results came out Thurs. If they do that this time, DH won't know anything until 1 day before he's laid off. Geesh, talk about pins and needles. I really hope it passes though. Our cup runneth over with junk to worry about these days Stick out tongue

I have no idea where that is, in Texas, that would mean meeting in Mexico. lol  Tina, we can make a little jog to Michigan and pick you up, no worries.  Cathy, quit trying to lure them over to you, with your talk of low humidity and such.  We'll come and pick you up too.  Wow, the gas bill is going to be bigger than the national debt at this rate.  Aw heck, who cares, it's worth it to cheer Megan up!

Karen, good grief, that's a lot of people signed up.  Watch your toes that they don't get smashed in the crush like mine did one year. :(  Big clumsy oaf of a guy, but he was very sorry and then I felt bad for him because he felt so bad. sheesh

Cathy, I'll keep my fingers crossed for your DH and his job.  What a mess your state is in right now.

South of the Border is this HORRIBLE tacky tourist trap on I-95, between North and South Carolina, LOL.

I'm not any cheerier and BF is being a jerk so I'm going for a run.

Sheesh, ain't that the truth? On 2nd thought, I'll meet y'all in Texas. No one wants to come here. The weather's great but I think we'll be paying extra for that too soon Wink

I think I drove by South of the Border when I drove from Georgia to North Carolina to visit my friend. It was very colorful in a tacky sort of way.

I've really busted my rear to keep up with work this week and I did an excellent job of it but now I'm pooped out. We're supposed to go to my nephew's 8th grade graduation after work and I don't even feel up to it. DH is so grouchy that I don't want to be around him right now either, so I wish he'd go without me, but that'll never happen.

Sounds good, Cathy.   Plead a headache and stay home tonight, I hate being around a grouchy DH.  lol

South of the Border sounds great, who doesn't love big, tacky places like that when you travel?  Wink

he's stuck w/ her on his policy.
Since they are divorced (I presume), why can't he just cancel the policy altogether?  Pick up coverage from another carrier, especially if they're this unreasonable.  He has the right to get coverage elsewhere.  If he is/was military, or has a parent or grandparent who was military, have him look into USAA.  There is no better insurance company out there.

    go by Chambersburg, PA

Steph, I didn't know you were in Chambersburg.  One of my besties is in Mercersburg, so we used to travel down there every couple of years to visit her.  On my trip from NH to AZ, we stopped there for a few days.  Such an historical area.

Meg, I don't think you're of legal age yet, but I would be happy to buy you a gallon of alcoholic beverages.  You sssoooo deserve to get a break today.

Jackie, I thought the exact same thing, & was excited at the prospect of a Mexican vacation!

Meg, I hope that today is a better day for you.
