Bite your tongue woman!!  THEY aren't bad...drinking tooooo many of them is!  An entire PITCHER????  Ouch!

So, the gal emailed me the lease and since it does say no pets without permission, I did tell her we do have dogs, and of course gave them all high praise.  I haven't heard back, but, she's at work, and that may be something she wants to run by her dad when she talks to him on Sunday.  Or, she could just be busy at work.  They really are great dogs, but they've gotten a little old in the confines of that RV the past FOURTEEN months!  Just not enough room for all of us.

Keep your fingers crossed?  Yet again?

Uggggggh.  I'm not really looking forward to this weekend.  I have to go shopping this afternoon i buy my friend's bridal shower gift.  And I have to buy a tonne of food which I have to make.  Then tomorrow morning I want to go to some garage sales nearby, then in the afternoon my said friend is coming over and will help me cook for her bridal shower, but she won't know that's what I'm cooking for and then on Sunday I have the bridal shower.

I have to make lasagne, devilled eggs, sausage rolls and spinach dip for approximately 40 people.

How many devilled eggs do I do per person?  And does anyone have a good recipe for spinach dip?

    Michelle:

This one is really, really good.

Last night when you posted you were dirkning the whole pitcher, I thought about reminding you of the hangover you would probably have today...and I LOVE margaritas but margarita hangovers are the worst!  Hope you are feeling better soon...a little gatorade and a good long nap as well as a potbelly sandwhich always do the trick for me!

lmichelle, I always make one egg per person which ends up in two halves per person.  Deviled eggs are a favorite at our parties though!

Not sure about the spinach dip recipe but I make a spinach artichoke dip that is very similiar to THIS and it is wonderful.  That is making me want some!

Amanda, I am not surprised you are hung over.  Tequila is some baaaad stuff. Here, have some Coffee...LOL

Glenda, hope you get the rental.  It sounds perfect.

I'm up to you-know-where in work today.  I got here at 0750 and had 5 phone calls before 0900!

Yesterday a co-worker was telling me about needing to take his cat to the vet because it is peeing everywhere but in the litterbox.  This has been going on for a couple of months but he doesn't want to spend the money on the vet.  He was going to take it to the shelter (up north where he is, the shelter is supposedly no-kill).  I said, "you know it's not really fair to dump the cat if he's got health/behavior problems.  His chances of being adopted are slim, esp. because he's older.  And it might be a no-kill shelter, but if they don't have the money to treat medical problems, they will euthanize.  Please consider a trip to the vet and at least be there with him if it's hopeless."  So he is at least taking the cat to the vet today for observation and urine culturing.

I escaped birthday lunch yesterday.  The women made it easy - they invited everyone else but me (small office, cubicles, we can all hear everything).  So I enjoyed my cereal and my walk!

It's kind of confusing, but I work for a fast-food franchise.  Our restaurants are all over Michigan, but I work in the office where we do all the paperwork.  Technically I have co-workers all over the state, but only have to see 5 of them daily.

I thought I might be working at the horse track tomorrow for the Preakness, but the track manager hasn't called me.  I was kinda hoping to, I could use the cash.

Oh well, back to the grind.

Yesterday a co-worker's husband accidentally ran over his daughter's leg with the lawn mower (she ran out in front).  That's one of my worse nightmares, and I don't even have kids or mow our lawn.

It's kind of the same for me. Only the Dir. and myself are in this office but we have other Hq staff in various locations and I talk with them or email with them throughout the day. We also have over 100 teachers and assistants and I hear from many of them on a daily basis.

That's pretty crummy about the birthday lunch. It sounds like you dealt with it well but I'd have been ticked. Good for you for educating your coworker about caring for his cat. Hopefully he'll find out it's something that can be easily remedied.

I'm soooooooooo glad it's Friday. It's supposed to be HOT this weekend, so other than doing some shopping and cleaning, I'll probably hang low indoors. I didn't take my Dyson in to get fixed, so vacuuming will be a real challenge.

I'm craving deviled eggs and margaritas now. Is that weirrd? Huh?

I guess I should have stated that the women invited everyone else, but the men didn't go.

How do you think your ultrasound went?  Or have you not had it yet?  Sometimes I forget we're in different time zones - it's already noon here.

Liesje, that's pretty scary about the co-worker's lawn mower accident.  Many years ago when I was in kindergarten, a classmate was riding on her uncle's lap, she fell off, and lost several toes to the mower - I think 3 on one foot, 2 on the other.  Ouch.  Severed limbs kind of gross me out.

It's at 4:30 today, so at least I get out of work early. Fortunately, I've had these before so I know better than to drink as much water as they say or as soon as they say you should. I'll drink 18-24oz. of the 32oz. they recommend and I'll start when I leave the office. It takes about 45 min's to get there, so that'll be plenty of time. They never make you wait long for these appt's but I still prefer to err on the side of comfort and I've never had a problem before. Hopefully the tech will at least tell me I don't have some alien baby growing inside of me Ick!.

Especially so if you combine them with credit cards and late night TV infomercials.  Stick out tongue Finers crossed for you Glenda.  Do you think if she met the dogs (or at least some of them) it might make a difference? Big heat wave expected this weekend ... triple digits. That's manageable for two or three days, but I hope it doesn't last any longer than that. I finally got all the crap hauled out of the side and back yard and taken to the dump and now I have to go see my neighbor who has a pressure washer and nicely volunteered to use it on my patio.

So the backyard is 99% done. We have to go talk to the landlord and get a dumpster to remove the rest of the garbage.  And of course Sandy went into heat this morning. Lol.  Thankfully this means that I won't be flying with her while in heat! Yay! I plan on spaying her in September. Just gotta get the cash together.  Or I may contact the SPCA and see if they can help with this.  Dunno yet.

Did my movie night last night. Found out 2 friends of mine are major POTC fans! So that nice having company over and not needing to shut off the movie.

Yes, that's it.  We know a lot more from the family but it's private info (read the comments and you can see why!).  She will be OK, she will walk again and wear shoes.  It was a total fluke accident.
