Mindless Chatter-TGIF TGIF TGIF

Spent all morning at the retina specialist for my follow up after the repairs two weeks ago.  All OK, so I don't go back for six weeks.  Whew.  The doc was really mad at some other doctor who was playing phone tag with him.  I wanted to take charge but managed to restrain myself, it's a disease. lol

Amanda, tequila hangovers are truly bad and as much as I love margaritas, I have to really watch how many I drink.

Glenda, I hope you get that house and my fingers and toes are cramping from being crossed for you girl!  Good luck.

Spent a long time on the phone with one of the spouses in the continuing drama called "When Your Best Friends Get Divorced" last night.  I never tell the other what one tells me but DH and I are just flabberghasted at some of the things we are hearing.  You never know people as well as you think you do.

I left Twister at home this morning because of the dr app't and now I'm back at work and missing the little guy.  I have Ruger to get me thru the day and he has been giving me some sweet Weim kisses as required.

Yay - that's great. I'm totally jealous that you get to bring your dogs to work with you. If/when my boss retires, I'm going to try to bring Sassy with me. I think she'd do great here and it's sure make my day brighter.

I feel nervous for some reason..

    • Gold Top Dog

Well this is officially the first long weekend of the summer north of 49. Victoria Day (as in Queen Victoria) mostly referred to as May Two Four Weekend. I'm not sure if it is in reference to the date or the beer consumed. LOL!

On another note my grandson came home from the hospital this morning. Not only am I blessed with a beautiful grandson but such a wonderful daughter inlaw. She called last night and invited me to join her at the hospital to pick the little guy up. I was thrilled and totally honoured.

Take deep breaths, it always helps me calm down.  Now go check on Sandy.

Cathy, I have been bringing dogs to work for more than 20 years.  The dogs are huge stress relievers and it's so funny how lonely it is without them.  I think everyone should take a dog to work and when I become President, I'll make it so. LOL  Good luck with the test this afternoon.  The anticipation is usually worse than the reality but I know that doesn't help much.  It's a darn shame you get to get off early on a Friday and have to go the Doctor. Sad

She's in the chair beside me, chewing on her nails. Lol. I get anixety attacks for no reason. It'll pass but until it does, I get restless, sick to my stomach and a cold flash.

Sandy, quit chewing your nails, silly dog.  That's what I do when I get nervous, chew my nails.  LOL   Hope your anxiety passes soon.

Maze taught her that. Lol. Hey it helps keep their nails at a decent length so I don't have to cut them as often.

Oh my gosh Denise - he's beautiful!!! What a wonderful day for all of you. I know you must be smiling from ear to ear.

On a "more good news" note, the vet just called with the results of cytology results from Sassy's ear. It's NOT cancer - yay!!!! I almost cried when she told me and I could tell she was as relieved as I am. I'll need to schedule the surgery to have it removed but it should be a simple procedure.

Jackie - although I'd prefer to get off early for something more fun, at least I'll be home by 5 instead of 6, so I'm happy about that. I'm pretty easy to please though Wink

Let me repeat that again - YAY!!!!

    • Gold Top Dog

Well, umm, well bred Bassets are not small.  Buffy is 60 lb.  Fairly big dogs on short legs.  Deceiving sometimes...

    • Gold Top Dog

Well height wise they're smaller then Maze. Lol. But Buffy weighs more then Maze. Lol! She only weighs 43lbs..

And the SPCA here doesn't offer assistance, unless I want to travel to the city. Which defeats the purpose since it's just about 100$ just to travel there.
