I was pretty sure, but not 100% sure, that our county doesn't have limitations, so I looked up the ordinances. I was right, there's no limit on the number of pets you can have.
I was very pleasantly surprised to find out some ordinances I was not aware of. In my county, tethering is illegal, period, no time limit on that like some have. Of course, if a person is present while a dog is on a tie-out, that is an exception. Any animal fighting, hoarding, illegal. Anyone who breeds animals must be registered with the Georgia Dept of Agriculture. There's even specific mention that backyard breeders (yup, they use that term in the ordinance) are required to be registered.
Hot dang, way to go Gwinnett County!!
Oh, yeah, my county doesn't require licensing, either. The rabies tag serves that purpose. The only dogs that must be registered are protection dogs.
