    Thanks ladies.

Cathy, you aren't a snob.  That's just nasty.  I can't believe people don't clean up after themselves.

Julie, we have a pet sitter stay at the house.  You might want to look into a pet sitter.  Price wise, you might come out cheaper.

Does anyone know how long it takes to drive from Monterey to Mexico City?  I'm considering a road trip but can't seem to find info on how long it would take to get there.

That's what came up on Yahoo maps. It's only 7-8 hours to San Diego, so most of the travel is in Mexico. That's one hell of a road trip. I don't like driving that much, so I could do the Monterey to San Diego, but I'd have to say "adios" at that point ;)

Crossed fingers and paws here, Glenda. :)

Will someone please give me a good swift kick and tell me to get back to work?

Kate, dear, I have VERY long legs, but I don't think they' stretch THAT far!!

Oh gosh, PLEASE let this happen.  It's a whole new concept and it could really change the whole dynamic of broadcasting.  Kind of scarey, but mega exciting too!!

Well that's no help!  LOL.  I'm working on a big project and I've been taking care of so many of the little details today that my focus has gone *poof*...completely scatterbrained.  I need to get back to the main part, now.

You think that YOU are scattered???  My poor brain isgoing a mile a minute and I forgot to eat!  I made a really nice pot of chicken soup since it's snowing here and completely forgot to eat any!

We drove from San Diego to Mexico City years ago, crossing the border at Nogales. I don't know how much things may have changed, but we definitely needed to be in some sort of city before it got dark.  You go through some pretty mountainous areas and a lot of the natives drove without headlights so they wouldn't blind each other going around the curves.  Only the occasional crazy tourists used headlights at night.  Cattle wandered freely all over the roads, even on the four lane highway going into Mexico City. Ever been in the left lane of a freeway doing about 75/80 and have to swerve to avoid a cow?  Not fun. Also, it was against the law to be involved in an accident so that could cause a few problems.  We had one on the way home and we were stranded in Mazatlan for a month. Going, the trip took five days.  Coming back was a different story. Big Smile
