Mindless chatter, moanday.....

Amanda - I'm so sorry about your friend. I assume this is the one you went to visit? If so, I hope you find some comfort in knowing you were able to see her before she passed away.

I had a terrible time going to sleep last night. It had gotten to the high 80s yesterday and although our house tends to stay very cool, it seemed stuffy and warm when I went to bed. I should've at least turned the ceiling fan on, but I was too lazy to get up.

My boss is gone most of the week and then I'm off all of next week, so if I can just keep that in mind, it should go by fast.

    Ohhhh, Amanada.  I'm so sorry.

Checked my inbox today and had a TON of mail from Spiritdogs, or so I thought.  It was Shadow and Sioux carrying on again.  Shadow wants to know who Sam n Ella are who Corky might be carrying and why mom makes everbuddy wash their hands all the time, and Sioux told him that she's ALSO got germz.  Poor Shadow is giving that little duckling VERY wide berth!  And goes running for cover when the clorex wipes come out!

So sorry about your friend, Amanda.

I am going to look at yet another car. Car shopping really makes me crazy. I don't know why I'm attempting it right before finals week, since I have a ton of studying...oh wait, my car is a ticking time bomb. Right. Anyone have an opinion on the Chevy Aveo? It's a used 2005 with less than 50,000 for less than $10,000.

Canaka, my dream is one of those ceiling fans with a remote.

In gross news, my stepdad has MRSA - one one of his...erm...boys...and my mother spend at least ten minutes describing how they drained and packed it today at the doctor's office. GAG. I am gagging right now. All I called my mom for was to whine about how grouchy I am today and she has to top me with the MRSA story. Not to mention my stepdad doesn't have health insurance since he can't manage to hold down a job...sigh.

Maybe today I will get a new car. It is shallow, but it will make me much happier.

Meg, you gotta have wheels, so it's not really shallow.  But I will say that your mom gave you waaaay TMI about your step-dad.  There are some things children should not know in that much detail - no matter how old the child is.Zip it!

How is Pirate feeling today?  No more barfies/bad poopies, I hope.

    • Gold Top Dog
    TMI for SURE. ROFL.

Pirate will live. I meant to update, but I haven't been around too much. I went to a bland diet and now I'm adding things in gradually, working him up to the recipe and then I'll add the supplements. Thank you for asking, though :)

Grilled cheese for lunch, anyone!!? Yum. Grilled cheese, then I'm going to look at the car. I've been turned down about a million times so I really hope this works out. I think it's starting to feel like dating - I keep falling in love (with the car) and then getting dumped (by the finance department!)

Yum is right. I loved grilled cheese. Actually, I love cheese of every kind and in every form. The other night I made a small plate of nachos for a snack and then finished that off with a piece of string cheese :).

Good luck with the car shopping.

Awww, I certainly hope it works out for you!  I really like your analogy though, haha.

I need to finish a powerpoint for tomorrow and I just have run out of motivation.  Sigh.  And the 25 page paper that follows it.  Is it Friday yet?

So sorry about your friend, Amanda.

Canaka, my dream is one of those ceiling fans with a remote.

All my bedroom ceiling fans came with remotes but I opted not to use them because I lose the TV remotes with regularity.  I figured the fans would be pretty much the same. I went to IKEA yesterday and  bought a framed mirror to go on the wall over the bureau, but now I'm thinking it's waaay to big.  I'll load it up this week and take it back, then check Target or Wally-Mart.

Sorry about your friend, Amanda.  And like Truly said, knowing it's going to happen doesn't make it a bit easier but you can take some comfort in the fact that you got to see her.

ROFL!  I always say "Cheese makes everything better".

    • Gold Top Dog
Not to fear, ladies, the grilled cheese was delish.

Glenda, I love reading your stories about corky.

Amanda, I'm very sorry. I don't know what I would do without my best friend. It would be very hard.

Its cold and rainy here. And I had a dentist appt today. Now I have a few teeth that feel like they are about to fall out!

I have to board my 3 dogs twice in may. I found someone for $14 per day per dog, which is cheap but still. Its going to cost nearly $200 each time! Ugh. I hate to spend that kind of money for work related travel.

Ours have remotes too and the one in the bedroom even has a thermostat so you can set it and it'll slow down or go off as the night gets cooler. Very cool feature and somehow we've managed not lose any of the remotes.

I went to the gym at lunch and at the risk of sounding like a snob, I almost felt like complaining to the manager about the newer people using the gym. The place is packed at lunch lately and some of these people are huge pigs. It disgusts me to have to use MY towel to wipe off other people's sweat and I'm sick of going in the locker room and worrying about breaking my neck on all the puddles of water. Why is that people don't have any concerns about walking around barefoot in a nasty locker room - blech!!! I basically put my gym back in the locker, go work out and then grab my bag and go. I'd feel dirtier if I showered and changed in that place Ick!

Doesn't sound like a snob to me and I wouldn't want to have to use my towel to wipe off someone else's sweat. eww
