Mindless Chatter Monday

Somebuddy stole my sunshine.  Overcast and gloomy here today.  Sigh.

I'm dragging this morning.  Do NOT want to be awake, and do NOT want to do anything.  But, I've got a ton of stuff to do around here.  Living in a tiny space is always a challenge trying to beat the clutter.  And finding places to put things is more of a challenge.  But, shall give it the old college try today.  I'm in the mood to clean.....but the body isn't as willing as the mind!

I'm so out of it today. I've had a headache for 4 days and yesterday I was dizzy all day. Today I'm just in a fog. No idea what is going on. Either way its going to be tough getting through today and being productive. I already left my laptop at home this morning. Not a good start!

I ran out of cat food last night. Poor kitty had to eat treats this morning for breakfast.

Today's my birthday!    I'm 32 today, but I feel like I'm 24!!

I'm sunburned from working in the yard yesterday.  BF took me out to dinner last night.  He has a hockey game tonight, he said he'd skip it so he could take me to dinner on my actual b-day, but I told him it didn't matter what day.  So last night he took me to a Japanese steakhouse, it was so yummy.  We have enough leftovers for tonight's dinner, too.  Afterwards we stopped at Bruester's for some ice cream.  Mmmm....it was so good.  We had to drive around a bit so we could finish our cones before we got home, otherwise we would have been attacked by Harry the Ice Cream Monster, lol.  Today I'm planning on doing nothing at all once I get home from work...that'll be the real b-day celebration for me, lol.

 Sounds like you had a nice night out with BF.  I had a nice weekend visiting with family.  I thought I would be more out of it this morning but I'm suprisingly chipper for a Monday after a travel weekend - just hope it lasts all day !!

I'm feeling very blah today, I have a bad cough that started yesterday and is already making my throat hurt, and i am so achey, anything touching me hurts, even my toes hurt.  And I am at work.  sucks. I want to go to bed

Absolutely!  Especially since I did a lot of stuff this weekend.  Cleaned the windows, did tons of laundry, and a lot of yard work.  So a night of nothing is going to be great.

So there's this new show coming out on Wednesday, I think.  I'm not a fan of reality dating shows, but I have to watch this one.  It's called The Cougar.  You can guess the theme of it, lol.  My little brother has been dating his girlfriend for a few years now, living together and all that, I know they will get married some day (sooner rather than later, hopefully!).  Anyway, her brother is one of the contestants on the show.  So, I have to watch it so I can root for him.  Should be interesting.

I do not want to be at work.  I had such a great weekend, not ready for it to be over.  I hope everyone had a good Easter.  Mine was very relaxing for the first time in probably 5+ years.  Just church and then laid on the couch and watched movies with the BF.

 We joined the church softball team and had our first practice on Thursday, it went ok.  Our outfield needs some work (myself included) but we have some pretty strong batters.  And I didn't strike out so I was happy :o)

Its going to seem like a long week b/c last week was so short, hopefully I'll get into the swing of it soon and start being productive.

Today is NOT my day. 

For starters my grandpa died yesterday

This is my first day back after a week's vacation, and I had to get a tooth drilled this morning.  The dentist was surprised I was going right to work, now I understand why.

My computer's hard drive died while on vacation.

I'm a bundle of nerves b/c I've got a huge dog show coming up, my budget is really tight, and I'm working on a proposal to ask my landlords if I can install a temporary fence on their property.  I hate asking favors and I'm a totally nonconfrontational person, but I guess it can't hurt to ask.

Oh dear Liesje! Sorry about your grandfather. What a horrible day! 

I'm still off work for the holiday, I've never had five days go by so quickly. Sheesh. Someone please kick me in the butt this morning. I have a ton of cleaning I need to get done today and laundry. It is even nice enough to hang my laundry out on the clothesline. Wooo. Its cold here and has been cold all weekend, but it has also been nice an sunny - so I'll take that. 

I'm a bit concerned about Timmy - he's been acting very very tired yesterday and today. It can't possibly be from his walk on Saturday, it wasn't that long of a walk. He has just been sleeping the whole morning and he didn't sleep in our room last night, which is strange. I'm wondering if he got into something at the in-laws. I hope not. I'll just keep an eye on him. He's eating and drinking fine and his eyes are bright. Maybe he's just tired.

Heather - Happy Birthday!!! Mine's tomorrow and I'll be...well, let's just say most days I feel younger than I am . Lately I've been dragging though and totally unmotivated, even about fun stuff. Dr. put me on thyroid meds last week and every day I hope to feel more perky.

Lies, I'm sorry to hear about your Grandpa...may he rest in peace.   Its never easy, and its even harder when they pass on a holiday.

I'm building a Facebook page...interesting place.  Any facebookers here that I could ask questions. 

Ugh, Monday's...don't like'em, never have...never will.  I typically work from home on Mondays just for that reason...hate to drag my a$$ out of the house on Mondays.  Almost 1/2 way through it though...so got that going for me.

Mother takes some pretty hard core pain meds...and we had to switch her recently due to availability.  This new one cost her $500...YIKES!  She has already reached her gap coverage (Medicare), so its all out of pocket for a while.  Well, she certainly can't pay that every month.  I've got the doctor looking into alternatives.

Happy birthday Heather!  I'd like to feel 24 again.  Shoot, I'd like to BE 32 again.  Enjoy your day!  In fact, make it a birthday week!  Milk it girl!
