    mindless chatter - weekend

i have been having SO much trouble getting into a normal schedule. for the last weeks i have been goin to bed around 5-6 am and waking up in the afternoon. well the week or so, it has been getting SO much worse. so bad that at 9 am i STILL couldnt sleep...

SO, having the same problem yesterday again, i was fed up, and ended up just NOT sleeping. so i managed to stay awake until about 6pm yesterday, and then just passed out. today i woke up at 4;30am and it's GREAT!!! for the first time in months i feel like i have the WHOLE day ahead of me!  now granted, 4:30 is a bit early, but over the next couple of days i can easily push that back and then hopefully keep it that way.

i think a lot of my problem came from just not doing anything to tire me. lately, the work i am getting even though it's a lot, it's still pretty easy work. i dont really have to concentrate a lot, and i also dont really get any excersise, so i think it was just really that my body is simply not tired.

so i have been looking at a few pilates videos on youtube and have decided to try a few of them. i think just a bit of physical excersise would do the trick for me..

yay! i cant wait for sunrise... lol

ETA: i just realized it's still friday for you guys! that's what i get for changing my schedule! lol!!!

    Happy Valentine Janet!

I was thinking the same: to get some yoga videos on youtube to do it at home... but now I can't do them! My knee hurts and is not well. The doctor said we have to get another X-ray and a MRI. My leg doesn't bend all the way and he said lots of things, even surgery Tongue Tied The last time this happened to me, back in 2000, it was the same drama. A month later I fell again, my knee was out of its place and when I put it back, all the pain and misery was over: the next day I could walk again, didn't had the surgery and I was perfect until last sunday. I so wish this time was like that.

    thank you!

sorry about your knee! i hope you dont have to have surgery!

although, my BF has had knee surgery after an accident and he has EXCELLENT joints! as for me, i have very very very weak joints. never really had any accidents... it sucks for me, cause for staying in shape it's hard. lots of things i cant really do long term, like jogging or even spinning! that's why i was thinking yoga/pilates, cause the only other thing i can think of is swimming and it's really not that convenient and i'm lazy, so it's doubtful i'd do that long term....

hope they find out what is wrong with your knee and fix it!

Happy Valentine's Day and President's Day to everyone. It's a 3 day weekend for me woo hoo! We are hoping to work the cows this weekend. Our heifers are due next month so we need to check them and give them multi-min shots, but it snowed today and now it's all muddy and cold so I'm not as excited about it as I was before. Here are two pics of Rey in the snow (I know not very much snow, we are only in the foothills). He's 15 weeks old and weighs about 25 lbs.

Trust me, Janet, I know how it feels. I worked nights for a while there (still do, but have cut my hours back) -- being tired totally throws me off and turns me into a grouch. When I would stay up all night I'd work out the next day around 1PM, since that's when I would get drowsy, and then I'd be OK until 9 PM or so.

I am so so soooo tired - it was a long week! Glad it's almost the weekend (hehehe, Janet...). Not too much planned, laundry and a massive homework day on Saturday, and then I work Sat night and Sunday until 5. My uni doesn't give us Monday as a holiday but my teacher cancelled class Monday AND Tuesday. Monday I'm going to get my taxes done, whoo! Tuesday I am with the 2nd graders all day. I have to teach a lesson that involves groups and these kids SUCK at groups, so it should be interesting.

I think I'm just clumsy... I broke my right ancle twice and if you see my once pretty legs, they have lots of scars. The doctor in the ER laughed about it, they were asking me if it was an accident or it was DH who did it (they have the order to ask) and I said: "Oh noooo, you can ask my mom, my brother, all my friends... everybody has a story with me falling down, I don't need anybody to push me ~lol~".

Caligrrl: Rey is so gorgeous, I want to smell that hairy face!

Megan: I think your job is pretty cool, the lessons you are teaching are so important for their lives! I hope everything goes great.

Reading Blacklabbie's wedding thread I just wanted to see everyone's wedding pictures (I love weddings).

Don't feel bad, I'm a klutz too.  I don't break BIG bones....fingers, toes, little stuff, but I'm ALWAYS bruised and battered looking.  I do enough damage to MYSELF, and then the dogs decide to walk on me in my sleep, or step on me, or ram into my legs......I look like a battered woman and I'm not....at least not by my DH!  Just by me and the dogs.

I'm working today.  Haven't worked much at the other job this week, so am looking forward to getting out and being at work.

Temps are back in the 20's again with snowy weather for the next week.  Our belated January thaw really makes me WANT sping.  Now.

We have 4 fresh inches of snow this morning and its not done yet. This snow is really pretty though. Nice and fluffy

I woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose. I'm sure all the temp fluctuations have caused this. I hope it doesn't get worse.

Happy Valentine's Day all - DH is still in the UK so I bought myself a lobster tail and I have a piece of filet mignon in the freezer so I am going to spoil myself tonight LOL  I think I have some frozen beef heart for the beast - we'll celebrate together Big Smile

Thank you for your concern all it isn't a clot - tendonitis.  I have been icing it tons and took two ibuprofen yesterday (1 at a time) and it feels better today at least I can walk a bit without my eyes watering.  Very strange.

Colder today and supposed to rain.  I need to do something with B he is about to self-combust despite playing with his boxer pup for 90 minutes yesterday.  Perhaps I'll send him to Becca's farm LOL

I wish winter was really gone - I have enjoyed the last week of spring like weather.     Ah well it will be 95* soon enough and I'll wish it were cooler

I empathize with those of you with an injury this weekend.  I've not broken anything major, but I have quite the collection of scars.  I've broken my nose 3 times.  Ouch.  I hope it gets better.

I have nothing really planned for this weekend, so if it brightens up, I'll take the girls to the park.

I hear you, kpwlee, about the weather.  It's been pretty this week.  I do hope that we get another snow though before summer.

Just got back from the Vet's with Rex and Belle, routine vac's and both are healthy and happy.  When I walked in the door, the first thing I saw was a cute white teddy bear holding a card from DH for Valentine's Day.  Of course the dogs think all stuffed animals belong to them so it had to be put out of reach after I hugged it a litlle. LOL  Twister is the worst and will be wanting it for his own even though it is easily twice as big as him.

    Happy Valentines Day to everyone!

Went to a dog show today, had a great time with my breeder and another Maremma owner chatting about the puppies.  Took a few pics which I'll put up in Photos for Sharing in a while, I'm a bit dozy right now.  I didn't get to sleep until past 2 and DH woke me up this morning at 6:15 with a very cheerful "Happy Valentine's Day!" LOL.  I adore the thought but I'd also have adored another hour of sleep.  Sleep

Moonlight: broken nose 3 times!! Ouchy.

I'm glad Karen you are feeling better.

DH is at the restaurant, I think today is going to be busy! I'm still in my pijamas getting ready to work a few hours. At night we probably are going out: to buy dog food ~lol~ the kind of date I'm always in the mood for. In Venezuela we don't celebrate Valentines that much, so is not a big deal, a kiss and a hug and everyday love is good for me.

Today the weather is pretty decent.  Sun is out, breeze is blowing but clouds are gathering.  Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and windy. I was going to toss some beef stroganoff in the slow cooker, but if I had done it before I went to breakfast it would have been ready too early (about 4:00 p.m.) and by the time I got home it was too late - it would have been ready at 7:30/8:00 p.m.  So, I'll do it tomorrow if  the wind doesn't knock the power out and tonight I'll use the Lamppost Pizza coupon - an XL specialty pizza for $16 in honor of our 16th. president.  That's not too shabby for four people.

I don't teach, yet - my classes at UCF require a certain number of 'In-School Experience' hours so I technically volunteer. It doesn't matter, I love it, even if it is a little crazy sometimes! I'm going to end up way over the number of hours I have to have, but the teacher really likes me and has made it a point to introduce me to the principal and the guidance councilor, and she promised me a letter of recommendation to save :)

I feel HORRIBLE today - last night I could feel my sinuses starting to fill up and today is just bad. I had planned to do homework...nope. My head is achey, my ears hurt, and I think I have a low-grade fever. Ugh. I've been drinking gatorade all day -- BF went and brought me some home before he had to go to work.

There sure are a lot of lower extremity injuries - feel better all!
