Mindless Chatter - Weekend Edition

Glenda, it's only 44 here today, but I'll trade you so that you can warm up a bit.

We are having a totally lazy day here today.  We hiked/ran a little over 20 miles yesterday, so the dogs (and humans) are still tired today.  I am doing a little laundry, & in a bit, DH & I are going to cook lunch/dinner.  I can see a nap in my future.

I don't know if we will get to the Botanical Gardens today with the dogs.  Belle is limping a little and DH is too.  I might go by myself with Rex and Twister but I am not that motivated yet and Belle is the one who needs this type of outing. I did the grocery shopping and have everything put away and the laundry is almost done except for dog bedding. I feel kind of grouchy right now for no real reason.

OMG!!  44 OUTside would make it feel like PARADISE inside!!

Hi everyone.  I just wanted to check in.  It's going to be a busy day for me since I ended up slacking off on my goals last night.  My cousin and I were chatting online--she's in Colorado at the moment--on thing led to another and it got late.  I also made the mistake of going on Facebook, time just flies by!!

I'm going to find those things you put in the micowave to keep your hands warm because it's my only isssue when walking--my hands freeze.  It's not good when you have a leash.

My weekend went wellish, on Friday night I watched Saw 3 and 4 with my brother's girlfriend, we made pina coladas, I staye dover night there and had the WORST sleep ever. Then in the morning we watched Saw 5

Saturday I went out with my friend it was a lot of fun :)

Today BF came back from his training seminar thing, and we napped together :) i am glad he is home

I found out, though, that my co worker's boyfriend electrocuted himself badly on Thursday and was at hospital, I don't know if he is still there or not.  He was apparently installing their new dishwasher (they just bought a house last weekend).  This isn't the first time that I have heard of him shocking himself, while he was at the office fixing an outlet, he got a really bad shock, I saw that happen, and yikes.  But apparently he electrocuted himself this time.  not good!

 Yesterday I slept in till 4:00 then just went to get grocerys at aldi. I love that place only place I can get a cart load for two weeks of food and just spend 160.00 at  walmart it would have been over 200 dollars.Then went to my mom's for some more of my stuff and take care of Mocha's nails. Got to see my niece and spend some times with her she is growing like a weed. That was pretty much the end of my day.

Today I have a list of stuff to do around the house and I dont want to do them. Woke up to it snowing we got maybe 1 or 2 inches Blue is having a blast although Cadey doesn't show the same love Blue has for it she rather be in the house to play. Cadey is being a nightmare she wont leave me alone while I'm cleaning the house. She keeps getting in my way even gave her a few toys to destroy only to have her get the remains out of the trash several times as soon as I turn my back it's out of the trash. I swear the moment I clean she has to be in my way and gots to do what she thinks is help. She has been trying to eat my slippers because they are shaped like dogs heads so she thinks it's a toy so she is learing the word leave it.

I have had a bloody nose from Cadey just trying to play with her and she jump up hitting me square in the nose with her big old rock head that didn't feel good.  Now she is laying on the floor hitting Blue with foot and talking to him to get him to play with her. I miss the days when she didn't know how to talk and now since being around Blue she is starting to do things like him such as talking.  If only she would learn to play with toys nicely, poop out side, not chase cats, and not learn to talk.

Anyone want a talking spoilded brat that wants to play pit bull must provided lovings and no cats? She is trying to tell Blue to come out from under the computer desk to play with her.  I need to get house work done and I can't do it with her around.

 Oh yeah BF has a job we just waiting for his liscence information to come back he will be working at feed mill trucking loads. So here is fingers cross and prayers that it comes back tomorrow and he can start work this week. i'm so hoping he can start work this week. I've been trying to keep myself from getting too excited about him having a job it always seems something happens. I just need this to be a for sure thing.

Melinda, that's GREAT news!  Hopefully he will be able to start this week.

DH & I have spent the day cuddling on the couch.  We cooked Kashmiri-style leg of lamb tonight.  It was FANTASTIC!  It's been a very good, albeit lazy, day.

Lazy day/weekend here too but we both needed it. Man, I wish it weren't over. I'll be tied up (not literally, I hope) in a conference the next two days, so I'm hoping that goes smoothly. I decided to stay at the hotel tomorrow night. It's only a 30 min. drive, but we have a dinner after a long day and I just didn't want to have to worry about driving home. I'm not a big drinker, but even if I have one glass of wine, I'm not comfortable getting behind the wheel. It'll be a very long day and an early start on Tuesday. I hope everything goes well.
