The crates good...but have you considered a humane trap? I know you might just as soon catch a coyote but...then you know she is IN there and cannot BOLT because crate or no when she hears you coming she might just assume you're a stranger and take off?

Just brainstorming...

Julie, I'm praying and hoping that she finds the crate, or you find her! 

The special crate is actually a trap. I did not set the trap part of it though for tonight. I put a chair cushion and lots of blankets, including the one that she slept on in her crate at my house. Then I put kibble in the bowl she ate out of at my house, some wet cat food, brunsuager and some biscuits. I smeared peanut butter on the surrounding trees. There's also a tarp on top so its fully protected from the elements and should be very warm and secluded. For tonight I just want her to find the crate and sleep there. If I set it too early and the door messes up then she will never go back to it again no matter where it is. Anyway, I left good food so if she doesn't eat it some other animal will.

In other news, I left lily and abbie at home and took neiko when we set up the crate. When I got home at midnight the whole house stunk like poop! Lily had runny poo in her crate - all over the floor around it and even on the walls! Not to mention, she was covered in it! So here I am dead tired and scrubbing the walls, carpet and giving lily a bath. I just threw the crate outside for now. She was out with me allllll day and couldn't go in the woods somewhere aparently.

Someone give me some strength!
