LOL, you missed the Great Debate while we were trying to come up with a show name for him. :P "Big Damn Hero" was what I wanted, his breeder liked "Tairis Can't Take The Sky" and "Tairis Into The Black" was what everyone ELSE liked. :P

Mine wear coats in southern california in the winter, but that is only because they have such short coats and so little body fat under that tiny bit of fur to keep them warm.  they also have jammies....

Mine don't wear anything.  They just spend less time outside when the weather is unpleasant.  And, it never gets too terribly cold here in Texas.  The little Beagle mix doesn't seem able to grow much of a winter coat, though, so she stays in during the winter except for quick potty breaks, and sleeps under a blanket at night.

I have a husky and an aussie, both double coated breeds so they don't need coats in the winter. I tried to put booties on my husky this past winter because the snow was really bothering her paws. But she wanted nothing to do with those booties.

The Chihuahuas each have a parka but neither will wear boots.  The Pug has a wool blanket-type coat (think horse blanket) that he wears when it's really bitterly cold, but otherwise he hates it.  The Lab adores cold weather, and the Shih Tzu hasn't lived through one yet.  :-)

My vizsla works outside all winter, so you'd better believe he has a coat and a variety of sweaters, and knows all about layering!

My little guy has a fleece jumpsuit - honestly, when it's really cold out (say, below 20 F), he needs it to go for any sort of walk. Even like 10 mins. I'll probably get him booties next winter, too, because his feet get cold and then he's miserable.

You're darn tootin' he does.    And a snoodie too!

First I have to say your pup is soooooo cute. They had a thread on whose dog you liked I had yours on my list but I cound`nt remember your name or your pups name.

Anyway Molly has a winter coat and winter boots to wear. She is 13  pounds so if its raining she doesn`t go outside for walks just plays extra in the house for her exercise. She uses the coat and boots in the winter to do her duty. Exercise is again in the house in the winter if not nice outside.

it's nice to have small dogs sometimes, right? i can't imagine what i would do if i didnt have the option of exercising them in the house once in a while...

We had some very, very frigid weather in the northern Midwest this last winter - overall the winter was not a long or terribly hard one, but there were these arctic fronts.  Pofi, despite lots of people thinking he might be a GSD mix, does NOT have a double coat and is pretty lean.  I can't recall the brand - bought in a local pet supply store - but both he and Mia got winter coats this year.  They were a water proof top layer and a fleece lining.  Pofi has a very deep chest and small waist and I needed to be able to try them on him so I needed to go local.  I think Janice's Rupert has the same coat!

Joey has a flannel coat with fleece lining for the winter.  My husband says he looks like a lumberjack.  before this coat we layered him in a light Purdue T-Shirt and a rain coat, which my husband says was to femine.  So now he looks very manly in his lumberjack coat.  See picture below.
