Buster, may I cross post that with credit? Puh-lease? With a cherry on top?
Please don't take this as partisan criticism, because you can look up this issue and see that I say the same thing every time "hypoallergenic" pets come up (well, anytime I feel like putting my oar in).
I have seven indoor dogs and three cats (though the cats are temporary - only until after we move). I vacuum every day with a GIANT vacuum. I dust. We have no rugs and I launder all bedding, upholstry pillows, surtains, and couch slipcovers, onve a week. Pilllows and sheets are changed every couple of days. The dogs aren't allowed in the kids' side of the house. the dog's beds are elevated cots that I can vacuum with my GIANT vacuum, and once a week hose down.
It's just me here and I've got a life other than playing maid to seven dogs and three cats. But it gets done and the four people who live here who have asthma, stay healthy most of the time. We have trouble during polen season but I have no dobt that if we could afford to run the air and had a whole house air cleaner, it would alleviate that problem too. I bet the Obamas could afford that.
My one son has asthma so badly that he used to have to use a nebulizer. Me too, actually. But I started letting the dogs in more and HAD to figure out a proactive game plan for staying on top of allergens - and since then neither Joey nor me have had to break out the little machine. It's in the closet - it would collect dust if I let dust collect in here!
