Mindless Chatter - Tuesday

We're doing wonderfully so far. Astra had a great training class last night. She was focused and gave me great attention. If you've read any of my threads about Brianna in class, you'll know why Astra's has me jumping for joy. She's not over her carsickness yet though, she threw up on the way there. I thought she had outgrown it. But thankfully that didn't affect her focus or willingness to work for treats in class.

I'm dogsitting JJ and Brandon today. That always makes me very happy!! Brandon is Brianna's littermate and my former foster.

DH and youngest son are home from work/school so we're hoping for a nice relaxing family fun type day. My daughter starts her new job tomorrow. She's excited, she gets to work in a candy store.

Meg, I fixed the spelling on Tuesday! I bet that was a typo or maybe you were hoping it was Thursday!  I am so glad the election will be over today. 

The weather is nice here, mild and a little cloudy.  We have had to adjust our time to walk the dogs because of the time change.  We are all a little confused for the first week or two.LOL  We found a neat, new place to take the dogs and it is only a few minutes from our house.  The place we have been going for a long time has suddenly been taken over by ATV riders.  I wouldn't mind except they stir up so much dust you can hardly see sometimes.  I'm trying not to be a cranky old lady and am glad we found a new place that they haven't discovered yet.

3girls, glad Astra had a good training class last night.  Rex threw up in the car for months and months on the way to class but he doesn't any more, thank goodness.

Today's shaping up to be a good day.  I'm off, and I'm going to spend some quality time with the dogs, as well as cleaning the house.  I want to re-do my rabbits' room too, so maybe I'll make a picture thread of them later.

I'm going to be taking Honor to Petsmart today to try and proof her rally some more before Saturday...the trial is only 4 days away, EEK!

GAAA!! I seriously need to go back to 2nd grade....I was to busy reading to learn how to spell that year!

Just got back from voting and was pleased I only had to sit in line for 80 mins.  I was pretty excited to go to the polls today - my second presidential election, and first time actually voting on Election Day vs. early voting. :) (Plus I like the perosn I voted for for pres vs. choosing the lesser of two evils lol)

I wish I could vote.

I agree. I told JJ I was gonna apply at the new Baskin Robins a few months ago and he told me absolutely not!! What?! He said I would never bring home a pay check because I would have to pay back all the ice cream and cake I ate while working.And get fat. Lol.

 Well got class tonight. Gonna work with the Irish Setter male I want to get. He loves Samantha to death. I cant wait to bring him home. 

I was working with Joker last night and I just couldnt understand why he wouldnt stay stacked. He always does perfect for me when we're in training mode. I was getting frustrated. Samantha comes up and tries to stack Joker and then says "hold." Ahaha!!! I had been telling him to wait not hold when I moved away. See I tell him to hold when I stack him then stand away from him a little and tell him to wait. When I do that he holds his postion I put him in and waits till I release him. I had just been telling him to wait which he did but he would move his feet. Silly me!! My 3 year old figured it out before I did. Think she'll make a great jumior handler in a few years!!

I went to the doc yesterday to get my hand checked out.  The good news is, it's not broken.  The bad news is, it's not broken.  I wanted it to be broken so that there would be something wrong that we can fix.  Nope.  Just like my right foot, which has been a thorn in my side for a few years now, there's no real treatable injury.  Also just like my foot, I did something to it one day (not that it got worse over time) and ever since then it has been painful.  So she is calling it arthritis as well which is really disappointing because that's what happened in my foot and it's never gotten any better, despite weeks of downing enough ibuprofen to dissolve my stomach, wearing a cast up to my knee for two months, spending way more than I ever want to on the "right" brands of shoes....  ugh.  So I guess I have no expectation that my hand will heal either.

Lies, that sucks really bad!

I was off school yesterday and today for "fall break". It has been fabulous weather...it has been in the mid 70s with not a cloud in the sky. I wish it could stay like this forever. The dogs are good and worn out, so now i just gotta decide what i'm gonna do for the rest of the day. I might start christmas shopping early before the mall gets too crazy...

I am sleepy today and swamped with work - probably shouldn't be browsing the forum heh.  I canceled tonights training lesson for Ari due to her (minor) eye injury.   

I really really really need to clean off my desk at work and reorganize.  It looks like a bomb went off.  

Will be voting after work tonight, but mostly I just want to sleep.  I went to bed late because my brain simply would not turn off.  Then when I did sleep, it was tossing and turning and waking up frequently.  Meh. 

 I have a migraine brewing and people are setting fireworks off outside.  This is NOT a good combination.
