    Now that is evil. LMBO

My Dad's favorite saying during election years when people would ask him if he had voted or was going to vote was some version of "vote early and vote often"!

I kind of like the saying by Mark Twain? or some such old codger "I never vote, it just encourages them".

I spent some of today waving around a sign to reelect our sheriff - it was fun! I waved to people and they honked at me, and even the garbage truck honked!

I have a ton of homework to do, but I don't feel like doing it. Sigh. I'm actually kind of glad I only had one stinking class this semester, it's been a nice break. Next semester I have class M-Th from 9am to noon, and internship on Fridays from 9am-noon. I'm hoping I can find a good dog day care for Pirate.

IN OTHER FUN NEWS, BF's mom is paying for Pirate and I to do basic obedience classes with her and her dog. She said it was my early birthday present, hooray! I think she just wanted the company, but that's ok. Our first class is tonight and I'm very, very excited! I need to dig out Pirate's vaccination records, though.

I felt a wonderful sense of relief when I voted ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh - done. Also it really is kind of exciting.  Either the first black president or the first woman VP.  We living a moment of history.

It is pouring rain down all day so no walkie for Bugsy - never good.  He just came over to bother me and I told him to go away in a stern voice and he went and laid down with his back to me.  Insulted - clearly.

Going to make a roast chicken tonight yum yum

Kate I am staving off a migraine as well - my eyes are killing me just want to be in a dark room.

There has been a lot of fraudulent voter registration charges against this group.

Some caffeine has helped, it's now down to manageable levels, but I could still do without the fireworks.

Glad it's more manageable - doG bless Guy Fawkes 'month' ay? We had a footpath at the back of our house with field on the otherside and council estates on the other side of the field. It was fireworks from July through March or so Confused

I voted after work, at about a little after 4:00 pm. I had to wait a whole ten minutes before they could check me in (the advantage of living in a small town in a rural county.) I've been voting for 24 years and I get a charge out of it each time, whether my choice wins or not. An old Heinlein quote. When the dealer offers you the chance to cut the deck, cut the deck. In a statistical universe, any influence you can have is better than none. Always vote. Many is the time where a person was ahead in the pre-election polls and didn't win. And it just isn't over until it's actually over. And voting is one of the most important things we can do as a citizen. You can change who has the power with your one vote.

Tomorrow, the real work starts. Promising something is one thing, being able to accomplish it is another. For either set of candidates. I expect that not a lot will change either way, at least not at first.

It's been a really nice day, weather-wise. My co-worker brought some deer burgers to work.

I voted early this morning.  I waited about 20 minutes, & was in & out quickly.  I will admit that I took advantage of Starbucks today.  I have determined that we have far too many Starbucks in my area.  I had four cups of coffee, & have been bouncing off the walls all day.

We are back to the neurologist in the morning.  I'm excited, because, short of the funky bumps, Bev has made great progress.  He still short strides, but it has improved a lot in the past week.  I'm hoping for a prednisone dose reduction.  (I am so tired of getting up every hour to walk him.)

I am so tired of getting up every hour to walk him.

Hey now, be glad he's a big dog. When Pirate was on his highest doses, I had to take him out every 15 minutes. Literally. But since he was little, I put a rubber-backed bath mat down for him to pee on at night, so I could sleep for 2 hours at a stretch. I guess if Bevo tried to pee on a bath mat there would be a flood :P Anyway, I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

Wasn't Starbucks giving you a free cup of coffee, if you brought in your 'I Voted' sticker? I did early voting and threw my sticker away, dang it.

Well I woke up uber early and went to breakfast at Village Inn and then went home and took the puppers for a walk all together for once and it actually worked out pretty well. We had to go slow for Brownie, Cuddles was used to the bike so she pulled a little and then Possum was just her springy little self. I voted around 4 30 pm. I only had to wait 30 mins. :D

And then I took Cuddles for a VERY LONG bike ride because she wanted to go lol

Bah voting.. Thank heaven's I'm Canadian. Stick out tongue Lol.

Now on to the exciting news of the day, I may be bringing home my puppy tomorrow!!! I'm going to meet her after work and pick up the crate and Xpen but I'm seriously considering bringing her home tomorrow!

I've already puppy proofed the living room as best as possible. Vaccumed, picked up the butts from dropped ashtrays. (Damn Maze's tail.. Lol)  All of Maze's toys are picked up so there'll be no fights over them and I can hand them out as I see fit. Tomorrow while I'm at work, Alex is gonna tie up the wires from all the consoles we have and do a table change to a higher table for the Xbox 360. And he's redo the living room so I'm a bit worried.. Lol. Smile

Already had a little talk with a buddy of ours over his shepherd. Jesse (the dog) does not like little dogs and has attacked our cat a couple times so I told Buddy that Jesse can no longer come over due to the pup. He's agreed and is understanding so no worries there.

I'm craving a Spiced Pumpkin Latte but I can't afford the 4.50$ for the drink.... *sigh*
