Mindless Chatter - Thurs

 Yep it's nice here too. I just got done dremeling Joker's nails and play a game of fetch and tug of war with him. I finally have a dog that likes to play!!!

I dont think I can dremel his nails any shorter. He wont have any if I do. But my trainers at the classes say he's nails are too long. Ahhh they look short enough to me. What do I know though. I am new at this. 

Im off to find a gravel driveway. Apparently Joker needs to work on tighnening his front feet. 

Sound like a plan Julie!  I went home for lunch and started raking leaves but didn't get very far.  I think I'll finish tonight since it's relatively sunny.  I'm just pissed that it's been so freaking windy for the past two weeks!  I've been sitting around waiting for a good day to rake leaves but I guess it's just not going to happen.

This weekend will be Nikon's weekend of torture - 2 shots, microchip, and possibly an ear tattoo. 

 BF woke me up late ( he turned off the alarm) so I didn't have time to take the girls out for a jog :(:( I might be able to fit it in at lunch.  They love their morning runs, I think they'll be suprised when i take them in the rain! lol it's supposed to start raining today.  Class was fun, we had to 'attack' other classmates, so lots of 'girl on girl' fighting.  Its really interesting getting to 'fight' different people - other than the instructors ( who basically just kick your butt the whole time).  This weekend is vehicle attacks! wooo!! probably going to have some good bruises after that!

the crappy part is that its at my house :( well i guess it really isn't that crappy, but my day is saturday, but they're going to be there sunday too for the other half of the class we have too many people to cram into one day).  So i guess I'll be out there in my pajama's and coffee sunday morning & watch the other half go.  I'm just one of those people that protects my personal downtime ferouciously lol.

Oh yay for having junk cars, but it least I know that my teacher will eventually tow them away, hopefully.  ya those cars were like a gift from my dad lol, when I bought my house, (within weeks), i woke up one morning to find that my dad had towed my sister's dead cars off of his property and ON to mine. so nice of him.

I have tons to do before this weekend though - for class, I have to mow, and then vacuum out the cars. yuk.

I can't wait to be able to show you all some pics from all this stuff!

Today is the first day that actually looks and feels like fall.  It's overcast, cloudy, chilly and there's a hint of rain in the air.  I hope if it does rain, it holds off until after the little kids have their Halloween fun tomorrow, but we'll take whatever rain we can get when we get it.

Yesterday I was thoroughly exhausted do not know why. Perhaps I just hit a wall, however I could not stop yawning. I feel better today. I am working from home and cranking out the work. 

It is confirmed Teddi has another UTI we are going to put her on antibiotics for a month. The vet wonders if we are not killing all the infected cells. I plan to start her on a cranberry supplement. She does have cranberries in her food. I hope she just isn't a dog prone to these, antibiotics are EXPENSIVE!!!! I am going at lunch to get the meds and pick up my lunch.

It is nice to be able to do that at lunch. When I work at the office, I have to arrive before 7AM just to park and you do not dare move your car as you will not park again. So that means I eat what I bring or get something from the cafeteria or Einsteins. Now the cafeteria has very good food (a bit pricey) but sometimes it is nice just to get OUT for a few and refresh. 

Belle has an agility trial this weekend. She needs just one more leg to clinch her AKC open standard title, and her excellent A jumpers title. I hope I don't let her down.

My coworker and roommate have each invited me to Halloween parties, but I am just not in the mood.  So I am going down to see a friend who's baby was born a few months ago and I still haven't met.  They'll do trick-or-treating with other moms and kids, so I think that will be sweet instead of partying my head off and getting sick.  I've had enough feeling sick this week that I don't want to intentionally bring it on.  Ugh.

Our sink at work is clogged and since I have kitchen duty this week, I get to be the one to go get Drain-O.  *sigh*

I had an excellent training class with Brianna last night. She's coming along so nicely. I'm very proud of her. There was only 3 other dogs in the class and that helped alot!!

Tonight DH and I have to make sugar cookies for his 4-5 yr olds head start students. This should be fun.

OH I FORGOT TO TELL YOU ALL!!!!

One of the scum bags that broke into my house pleaded guilty (no trial) and has been sentenced to 3 - 20 years in prison!!! WOO HOO bye bye scum bag. Of course we have $1500 in un insured loss (deductible, jewelry overage) we have that we will get restitution for when he gets out. Doubt we will ever see that.

Fantastic!!!!!  That is great!!!  You are the story I tell people when they complain that the cops don't do anything.... "I know this lady online who had her house broken into...." I'm so glad to hear there's some resolution for you guys.  I know it doesn't bring your stuff back, but it's a good ending that he will pay for his crime!

I stoped by CCAC(animal control) after I woke up late(noon), dropped my brother off at FTCC(community college), and got some chow with Mom. We got a copy of Sam's rabies paperwork! Woo! Now he can get neutered. We were going to check out the dog's up for adoption -- I think my Mom maybe sick....she's Ok with looking for another dog! But, the adoption side doesn't open until 2pm, and it was 1:20. So, me and Mom had the annoying 'arguement' over why the adoptions center was only open from 2 - 5pm Mon-Fri. It was a pne-sided arguement and we both agreed that they must not **really** want to get animals adopted. We ddin't look at the Saturday hours, but I think it's like 10am - 4pm.

I think my Mom is actually thinking about letting me get another dog. *goes into shock*

We had a discusion 2 or 3 days ago about how she thought Sam played to roughly with Taz, so I brought up the point that if we had another dog Sam's size, Sam and the dog could play rough together with less worry about one getting hurt......she also mentioned that she wants to contact the lady we bought Taz from about getting another pup of the same mix. Not for breeding, but because Taz is the apple of Mom and Dad's eye. So, they want another one....LOL.

Maybe I'll be adding 2 dog's to the house......*falls over dead*

 oh man i'm so stoked!

i'm going through ( trying to!) a bathroom remodel - my fulll bath has major issues - the floor is so rotted that you feel it bow/sag if you step on certain spots - its so bad that we can't use the shower.  We haven't determined where the water is coming from - but it needs to be fixed. this is huge project that is going to require that 75% of the floor be removed & it least one wall ( not to mention the whole tub & surround) .  We are also trying install a shower in the half bath so that we can have a shower during the 'remodel'. At the moment our only shower is OUTSIDE, and its getting COLD! lol  (yes it has hot water).;  Anywho theres alot of work to be done, but really the biggest issue is $$ for replacement parts - wood, plumbing materials and the new tub & surround etc. not to mention finish materials like flooring. 

My dad just called me & one of our customers is giving us a white tub, and 3 bay windows! ( he said they orignally cost $2000.00  each), all for free!! SOOO RAD!!

I'm so excited. its such a huge help!!

Ohh!!! That's so cool! Can you send me some floor boards? My room sags too....LOL! Dang old house!

Anywho, thats really great that your customers would give you all that stuff!!
