Irena Farm Is Moving!

Heck, we'll get a little cart for Bugsy - won't that be fun!  Wait, we've got four big dogs with Bugsy - I bet they could haul the sheep trailer!

Just kidding of course.  It really is that close though - It's the same distance as it is to the second pond behind our current landlord's house.

Will do - we'll have at least a couple of workdays probably and serve Italian.  My mom will cook!

LOL I am 100% sure that he would love to work for you and with the Maremmas - his best behavior is when he has work to do!

It looks like a chunk of heaven and you certainly deserve it. As well as the equity you will be able to build and I assume, be able to retire, one day. If I lived in NC, I would be there to help. I'm a guy and we're good for lifting heavy stuff. And my FIL taught me some tricks to painting, especially if you are using acrylic.

I really am happy for you, surgery aside, from which I expect you to make a full recovery. Or, I will find a way to get to NC and tell you lousy jokes until you get better just to hear me hush up and go away.

The pictures are awesome!! And the way you say it, it's very exciting!! Congratulations on the move and I hope the surgery goes well, so you would enjoy a little the fun of moving!

Aw you're all sweet and stuff.  Either that or that was a veiled threat, I won't think about it too hard though.  LOL!  As far as the surgery, we recently did an exploratory to figure out what was going on and Friday made the decision to simply, er, remove the source of my problems, which are female-type ones.  There's a four week recovery but most of it I can walk around and in fact it's important to stay active up to a point.  No lifting though.  I think there's a lot I can do - it's just annoying though because it's the stuff I hate most, sorting, packing, unpacking.

I can't wait to get started on moving, though.  Another sign we are doing the right thing - I need to sell about a dozen of my "girls" because we'll have less space there for a while.  I haven't gotten around to putting an ad out there (it's only been a week since we first decided to do this!).  this morning a friend I haven't heard from in a while contacted me out of the blue and asked whether I had about a dozen ewes/lambs I could part with.  Then she said she might want TWENTY.  That would be perfect!

Waaayyyyy off-topic here, but there's a great website that you might want to check out - hystersisters.com. Lots of wonderful women with great support and advice.

I second the website!!! It was a life saver for me last year (has it already been a year - wow!) when I had my surgery. I have to say it was the best thing I have ever done. Dealing with hormone therapy is a lot easier than what I was dealing with. I hope your surgery is as benefitting for you as mine was for me! Lots of prayers coming your way! It is definitely a beautiful piece of heaven. :)

A friend of ours had that done and made a full recovery. She works in retail, too. So, she has a very active lifestyle. Just as your lifestyle is very active.

Anyway, thanks for sharing the good news. And blessings to you, your family, and the furry ones.

You sound so happy!  Congratulations on the new place...that is very exciting!!

I'm with you...the sorting, packing and unpacking is necessary evil.  But, it'll be done before you know it then years of enjoyment will be had.

Best of luck on the surgery...you will be so glad when that is all over too!  Best thing I ever did, I tell ya.

Well...that in my opinion is "someone upstairs" helping things along.  Angel  I love signs like that.

Can't wait to see more pictures of your lovely house and land.
