Thanks again you all - you are so cool and supportive!  Thanks for the website, I'll check that out.  I've sort of figured this was coming eventually but this was a total surprise because I thought I had the option of waiting.  Oops.  But I sound happy because I AM.  My girl parts have been a constant curse since I was twelve and the last five years or so have been sheer Hades on earth.  Bye-bye and good riddance!

 Crusher says he's totally up for the Sheep Trailer Trek.  He says he'll show them Meremmas how to work in harness if they'll teach him how be an LGD...  That way we won't have to get one if I ever get my own farm.

I'm so excited for you Becca!  Can't wait for more pics.  Someday I am totally going to make it down with Nonee to see it in person.

Wow, wouldn't that be fun!  The Maremmas actually do teach newbies to work.  I teach the dogs what NOT to do, but the dogs show each other what the rules are for this operation.  The guarding and whatnot is instinctive, but each place has different rules (LGDs are big on rules and routines).  It's taken poor Min months to figure them all out and she still tries to do things her way every so often and gets jumped for it.  I'm going to take Lulu out of the picture this winter so that will take some of the pressure off Min - Lulu is old and grouchy.  She will be coming inside to stay warm and get treated extra special while I don't need three guard dogs.
