Your Dream Dog

I have my dream dog. Molly doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. She is quiet loyal, obediant, smart and loves me as much as I love her. She hasn't met a person, dog or cat that she doesn't love.

My shelties are my dream dogs in many ways, in particular my blue merle - I always wanted a blue merle sheltie, but....I have also always wanted a Siberian Husky. Since I was a kid, really, I just don't think I am nearly active enough to occupy one. I see them very often in my area on petfinder and in shelters though, and I wish I could have one.

My dream dog for me is just a dog.  Any kind of dog.  I love them all!  However, it doesn't have to do with just whether you like them or not, but if you can handle them.  I really don't think I could manage giant breeds like Great danes or Newfoundlands, but I am always up for admiring them from afar!

I really love my Cairn Terrier and though I love all dogsm I prefer Cairns, Goldens, and Collies.  There's something about those three that I just can't quite put my finger on.

There are certain breeds that I have a thing for...of course Irish Setters, then Golden Retrievers, Newfoundlands, German Shepherds, Aussies, and more.

My dream dog, however, is Riley. I love him to pieces, he is the perfect puppy for me. It has nothing to do with him being an IS. It's simply because he is such a great boy...intelligent, obedient (for a puppy, lol), playful, friendly, cuddly, knows when to settle down....we just click. [:)]

Edit - accidentally posted before I meant to.

A Neapolitan Mastiff... I love those "majestic" (hah, riiigght...) breeds! LOL, but I really do love them, my parents would never let me have one...but when I turn 18, I'll be at the pound getting one and bringing one home! There aint nothin' they can do about that!

My dream dog is an APBT. I know I will probably not be able to get one because my husband likes them okay, but I don't think he really wants one, and I would have to really research on raising them if I ever got one because I loved my uncle's APBT, Queenie, when I was growing up, but the day to day raising a dog is much different, and I would want to make absolutely sure I was doing everything I could to ensure that everyone who came in contact with my dog had a happy experience and that my dog was a good ambassador for the breed.  I would also have to get a real handle on dog aggression since they can have more dog aggression issues and we plan to have two dogs.  The two dogs I have now love to play and play rough but aren't aggressive with each other at all so I really have not had to deal with that possibility so far.

If I had the money to make habitats on a large area of land,I would go into WD rescue...A lot of work involved but when you find a job you love, its hardly work..

I'd love a Pembroke Corgi, Saluki or Daschund. I belive they are all beautiful dogs. I am waiting for funds to get a Corgi and I also have found many breeders in Ontario. I know there are lots of rescues in the U.S. but am not sure about bringing them to Canada.

Right now though I'm totally in love with my Lab X.

And like many others have said....any dog would be my dream dog. I waited almost my whole life (which isn't long since I'm only 24) to get a dog because my parents wouldn't let me get one when I was a kid.

Well I'm already on my way to having my dream.  But it includes alot more of them.  I want a whole team of sled dogs.  Huskies, Malamutes, and a mix therein.  Mostly rescues but i do need to buy one good lead just to get my team on the right track.

Border Collie- I think they are the best dogs ever! I have to wait until I'm out of college and have a house of my own for one though.
