I have my dream dog right now.  He is a Doberman Pinscher, & he constantly amazes me.  I can't imagine my life without a Dobe.

My first dream dog is a Great Dane.  I'll have to wait about 8-10 years before I can get one since I already have 3 dogs.  But, I WILL have one!  They are just great dogs, Big and gentle.  The ones that I have seen and met are very smart
My second dream dog is a Blue APBT.  I love the color of their fur!  I already have 2 pitties so I know what to expect!!

To me a dream dog isn't a breed. To me a dream dog is the best friend I ever had.

A dream dog would be this dog, to have from the time he was a puppy, until the day I die.

And we die together so that we can go on together.

i absolutely LOVE bassett hounds, but the 'stink' factor keeps me away. i like dogs that need minimal care & bassetts need to be washed frequently or they get that 'hound' smell.

    I LOVE that smell!

If I ever get back in shape again I'll see if one of my dogs (probably Sofia, she's got an incredible nose and can run all day) wants to do Search and Rescue.

    Or get another bloodhound. [:D]

My dream dog would be Willow, 12 weeks old, so I can raise her right from the beginning.

My little Aussie is already my dream dog. A constant companion, adoring, eager, brilliant, goofy sense of humor, and a definate mama's boy.

If an Aussie was out of the question, though, I'd love a Newfoundland some day. I don't mind the hair and the drool, but they're pretty rare around these parts. The cheapest one I've found was well over $1,000 and I don't think I could ever quite bring myself to pay that much for a dog, knowing the hidden costs behind them. *sigh* But one can dream.

Current dream dog is a young adolescent cattle dog (or Texas Heeler) male, red, high toy (ball/tug) drive, no dog aggression or fear issues, nice off switch, about 50lbs or less, sport prospect.

Maggie is pretty darn close to a dream dog, but the ocassional reactivity still gets in the way of the "dream dog" title. :)

I already have my dream dog in every way.  She's smart, beautiful, sweet, loves other dogs and children, has a head for obedience, loves to be my constant companion, is everything I could hope for in a dog.
Any future dogs have a lot to live up to.  But they'll be half-way there if they're Dobermans...

My dream dog is a (female) Toller. Mostly red, with lots of white on the chest, 4 white paws and light pigment. Confident and outgoing, a good cuddler, with an "off switch". After waiting years, my dream dog will finally be coming home in a little less than a week. After her, I don't really have a dream dog.

Yesss, I'm with ya on that one. Or at least I'd go back to when I first got Cherokee, knowing what I know now, and start working on her issues THEN, instead of letting them brood and get worse for 8 years. [&o]

My dream dog would be a Cherokee I could effortlessly take everywhere with me. No planning, no pockets full of treats, just snap on a leash and go.
