Breeds your SO,DH,BF,etc like.

I asked my husband just now to be sure...he likes Shelties, Golden Retrievers, and Rough Collies. I'll also add that my son likes mixed breeds and terrier types, and my daughter likes Chihuahuas and Poms.

DH loves retrievers.  He would love a lab or golden.  Unfortunately, neither of those breeds really fit my personality, so he is looking into Chessies, and Tollers.

My DH's top 3 are

• Cats
• Beagles
• Pit Bulls

2 out of 3 ain't bad!

My DH's heart belongs to boxers.  Once we get moving expenses out of the way i have a feeling we'll be donating to boxer rescue regularly.  When we buy a house we'll be getting a boxer for sure and would earlier if rentals that allow boxers weren't so hard to find. 

DH says: Tibetan mastiff, Komondor and Puli.

Tell DH to run from the Komondor unless he knows a really awesome breeder.  A friend has one as a pet and he's got issues, and she's really into the breed and says that all the pet bred lines have problems, with temperament particularly.

Patrick likes cats best of all, and big LGD breeds.  We have one cat and the Maremmas.  He's happy with that.

 

 He likes Bouviers, both sizes of the Basset Griffon Vendeen, Bergamascos, Entlebucher Sennenhunds and Labradors.

Well, ask DH his favorite and he will usually say whatever breed he saw last!  He often mentions Beagles, Boxers, Pit Bulls, and Pugs.  The only one I veto is the Pug!  He is really the perfect candidate for a shelter/rescue dog though, because often when he likes a breed is for the wrong reasons and he doesn't care that much anyway, hence why we got Coke whose mix is anyone's guess!

 Oh, that's easy- Labs, Goldens, Siberian Huskies and Beagles.

I didn't even need to ask DH.  He likes mutts.  Preferably ones from a shelter.  I've taught him well. :o)

RE: Papillons.  Don't kid yourself.  They are not all little foofy, lap tumors.  They can be quite active, some make great agility dogs, obedience dogs, therapy, assistance dogs.  They can pretty much do anything except personal protection.

We have always owned Mutts.  We own the breeds we always wanted and loved.  Our favorites are:

  I didn't even know that there were pet bred Komondor. From my understanding the breed is extremely guardy (and I suspect that is how they are supposed to be?), not really a great pet bred to begin with.
