Love or Hate It

jenhuedepohl: Lucy is just so pretty on your avatar.   I love your sig graphic.  Of course I'm a bit partial to spots, too! [sm=wink2.gif]

    I love TinaK's sig!
That is the one with the animated black and white English cocker.  I love her text line, too.  It looks like her dog is actually looking at you through the computer.

    I like that!

g33 - It's funny, I remember when you changed your avatar. [:)] I noticed it! It's a strong statement and at first I thought, "oh, my" ... then I had to ask myself about my response, about what I thought your avatar was asking of me, and what would make me feel good or bad or any other way about it. My initial reaction was to reject being advertised to, but then I had to admit to myself, that your avatar .... is not .... about .... me! [:o] (lol) It's not about ... my feelings, .... my beliefs, and what they .... should or shouldn't be. Your avatar is about you, and the expression you want to put forward in the world! [:D] Hoorah!

So, I want to thank you and your avatar for the opportunity it gave me to reflect on my own self-centeredness and the intolerance that can create, if I'm not thoughtful! [;)] It was yet another lovely little life lesson that letting go, and letting be isn't even quite enough, rather honoring and respecting is where it's at! [sm=clapping hands smiley.gif]

As far as my avatar, I use it like a mood ring. When I put up the current wiz of oz pic, I was feeling very appreciative of the guidance of a few of the women on this board, so I liked having an image of Dorothy and Toto under the good witch's care. (Oh, and I identify with Toto, not Dorothy, lol.)

Brookcove ... thanks for explaining your objections to the altered fish icon. I never knew about the sacredness of the symbol.

snownose ... I don't care how big your siggie is, but sheesh, I always want a better look at your husky/chow and it's always the farthest away in your pics! [8D]

[sm=biggrin.gif] Thanks! Pretty fur! ... maybe some day I'll get to see his face [8D] ... lol. But if he's like my ACD/chow/X mix, he's squirmy infront of the camera.

or posts that read like a novel where one has to scroll forever.

hahahah!  I've started just skipping those altogether when they're in unimportant threads (like some of the funny NDRs).  If it's a thread I care about/serious topic I'll read it.  Otherwise, I don't do well with the verbal diarrhea.  (please don't be insulted if you carefully crafted a lengthy response somewhere else - I'm not talking about those.)

Ixas - I really like what you pointed out about reactions to others' signature lines.  Thanks for sharing the lesson.  [:D]

Thanks! I think we both have a thing for black&white long eared dogs [:D]. I set with a camera in front of Jack and whistled to him, trying to capture his curious head tilt (he is good at those).
I have always loved your Yin and Yang signature... I wondered who did the illustration; it's excellent. I like symbolism [8D].

I like Ixas_girl's picture with a motion blur, and one she didn't use in a forum with Ixa and a funky hairdo (I looked at your online photo album, Kahty).

I like ottoluv's (sp?) signature with a little black&white Chihuahua. This dog has so much character, especially the picture on the right with an evil little face--it makes me smile.

Wow, thank you, I am totally honored by that.  Thank you for seeing my heart in posting my avatar and for being thoughtful and reflective about it.  Again, I'm totally honored and thanks!
