I like that!
g33 - It's funny, I remember when you changed your avatar. [

] I noticed it! It's a strong statement and at first I thought, "oh, my" ... then I had to ask myself about my response, about what I thought your avatar was asking of me, and what would make me feel good or bad or any other way about it. My initial reaction was to reject being advertised to, but then I had to admit to myself, that your avatar .... is not .... about .... me! [

] (lol) It's not about ... my feelings, .... my beliefs, and what they .... should or shouldn't be. Your avatar is about you, and the expression you want to put forward in the world! [

] Hoorah!
So, I want to thank you and your avatar for the opportunity it gave me to reflect on my own self-centeredness and the intolerance that can create, if I'm not thoughtful! [

] It was yet another lovely little life lesson that letting go, and letting be isn't even quite enough, rather honoring and respecting is where it's at! [sm=clapping hands smiley.gif]
As far as my avatar, I use it like a mood ring. When I put up the current wiz of oz pic, I was feeling very appreciative of the guidance of a few of the women on this board, so I liked having an image of Dorothy and Toto under the good witch's care. (Oh, and I identify with Toto, not Dorothy, lol.)
Brookcove ... thanks for explaining your objections to the altered fish icon. I never knew about the sacredness of the symbol.
snownose ... I don't care how big your siggie is, but sheesh, I always want a better look at your husky/chow and it's always the farthest away in your pics! [8D]
