Love or Hate It

Liesje's is one of my favs, too, even though it's all cats.  I'm just so fond of the sleepy kitten w/his legs stretched out in front of him.

I didn't even notice the religion quote until it was pointed out in this thread. I wonder if the people who are seriously offended by it have mentioned it to the person via PM? I guess I like to look at the sig pics and don't really notice the text. I also like seeing people's pets.

i am not really offended by it, and would never have even mentioned it but if someone specifically asks.... then i will voice my opinion.

Jesus Christ, and the American soldier.

I love that one. I don't see it as someone pushing religion on anyone else.

I like the ones that show the ;pets  and which name goes with which animal.

For the most part I'm not a fan of avatars & signatures that are not dog related.

Come to think of it; I pay more attention to avatars. I love the cartoon one with the puppy gushing over his bally, and then the kitty saying is yarny can kick the puppy's bally's ass. And the puppy looks so crushed. I dig that one. I don't even know who it belongs to - it just makes me smile.

Liesje, I did not mention it via PM. Reasoning is I felt it would be rude. ... I was asked on a thread that was open, so I decided to share. Truly, I try not to be inflamatory when possible! :)

I think telling someone something like that via PM could be offensive. ... granted anytime you tell someone you don't like something of theirs, they are probably going to be offended. PM, Post or otherwise.

I thought it was a rooster who told the boy he'd laid an egg?

I just feel that it's a challenge, like everything anyone says is being considered a lie... i just don't think it's the best image to use in summation.

YES! I agree Willow!

I don't like huge signatures, in fact I really think there should be a size limit on some of the photos people have up in their siggy lines.  Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the pictures, but a smaller picture is just as good and makes the thread look less busy and confusing with graphic overload.

I also don't like religious quotes since I agnostic/borderline atheist, but that's just a personal preference.  I respect others beliefs and wouldn't even suggest they be taken down.

I'm not defending it or anything, I just feel like if someone really didn't like my sig or avatar, I'd rather have them simply tell me personally and I'd just change it, no big deal, rather than feel offended and wait to mention it in a thread and embarass me over something I could have changed.  I don't think the signature is meant to be inflamatory or offensive to anyone.

I didn't take it that way Liesje [:)]

This thread is about liking it or not... and well... i don't. Simply put. Should they change their signature on my opinion? No. If someone wants to make it more dog oriented? Sure, if they want to. I've never been so put off by it enough that it was worth a PM. My opinion is that it could be read in a way that perhaps is unintended.

Am I allowed to vouch for my own? I know someone else also has it.

"Dogs are not our whole lives, but they make our lives whole."

I believe it was Roger Caras who said it?

Although admittedly sometimes I wonder if Beau isn't my whole life ;)

I have the same quote and like it.  I also have a pillow with the quote on it but it says Dachshunds instead of dogs :).

I should put one of these in my  sig--I just realized I don't even have a quote.I don't know if anyone has this one or not, but its one of my favorites:

If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them.

I also REALLY  like:

"In dog training, jerk is a noun, not a ver
b."

I can't find who it is now, but someone has a picture of a blue merle Aussie or Aussie mix with a forest/mountain scene in the background. I like that one.

Not trying to offend anyone but my favorite sig belongs to Badrap!  I love seeing Rosie and Tek!!
