Busgy is far too cute and friendly to scare any contractor into doing anything they don't want to.  I guess any future recommendations are out for these yahoos, huh?

Oh, in my previous post I was referring to the nail in the pipe that might have been causing something going on in the wall that Bugsy heard...   AAAACK!  "there's a hole in my bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza.  There's a hole in my bucket, dear Liza - a hole!!!"

Kate I wanted to take a Euro road trip before we moved back here and DH thought I was nuts but I am still jonesing for it and I WILL do it.  I have gone all over this country and did go to a lot of places on the continent but no road trip so holla when you need me   I can drive a manual from the left or the right, understand German, Spanish and some Italian.  Not got a lot of French language skills though

topper of it all we paid an $85 service fee on Tuesday which they said would be applied to the bill when they came and did the work as long as it was within 30 days.  So yesterday he comes out and looks at the hole the idiot he sent out to 'make access' and says no can't get in there. And leaves

If you really want to know the frustration of dealing with contractors, have a pool put in. I'd heard horror stories and thought I was prepared, but I had no idea how bad it could be. I ended up on the phone with the owner of the pool company and after making some serious legal threats....wahlah, the pool was completed in another 2 weeks . I want to remodel my kitchen but I just can't bear to deal with what will surely be a nightmare for months.

OH! Can I come too! I've been to Scotland but I want to see the rest of Europe!  *pouts pretty*  I can speak German but that's about it. Lol. 

hmmmm...  I know French (of course being the good Canuck that I am but it's Euro French that I know)

That's a bummer, Cathy.  We went with a local (in Davis) company and there weren't any problems at all.  Exactly 28 days after they came in with a bobcat to dig the hole, we filled it. And if you want the phone no. and name of a really extraordinary design/build combo, PM me.  The first time the contractor and designer met each other was when they did a job for us about 18 years ago and now they've gone into business together as design & build.  They come on time, they clean up the sit daily, they stay on budget.  If I was going to have a house built from the ground up, I'd give it to these guys in a heartbeat.

 I haven't been around for a while because I've been crazy busy. I'm hoping though,I may get a slightly earlier vacation next week. I had a student have a fit yesterday, and in the process, she hurt herself. Today she had a fit again, and in the process, she said I was the one who hurt her yesterday. Call me a bad person, but I'm hoping to get suspended for an investigation. If I do, I know I'll be cleared and get paid, so I wouldn't mind it at all.

And I predict that Candace will have her baby girl tomorrow at...3:47am. Ooh, I would freak myself out if that was true!  

On the plus side, DH and I are going to take the dogs to the outdoor mall a little later, window shop and socialize the pups.  Should be fun!

He's in love with them...there's just less chance of that happening than a Maremma, and that is saying something.  Ah well, I get to see Maremmas this weeked, so I am happy!
