Tyson Foods Kills Labor Day

  The beginning of our journey to become like Europe. Workers in the Tn Tyson plant will now enjoy the last day of Ramadan as one of their paid holidays and will have to work on the traditional American Labor Day holiday.

OMG....slowly, but surely we are getting stripped of our rights as US citizens........wake up folks, before it is too late.........

The right to... a paid holiday on a specific day? Must have missed that in my last reading of the Constitution  

 You'd think they'd at least give people the option of taking one or the other off.....the non-union workers are still getting Labor Day off so it's not like nobody would be at the plant.

You missed the point.......union workers lose Labor Day and have to follow a muslim holiday......how sweet (barf)

Hey ... I'll take whatever holidays I can get, whenever they come or whatever they're for. If a significant number of employees there are  Muslim I see no harm in it.  Is it possible they're going to work it out so Muslims celebrate their holiday and non-Muslims celebrate Labor Day?

 Learn from the UK and learn from France, they have bent over backwards in their efforts to be tollerant for Islam and their very cultures are suffering for it.

 I welcome all to the US, but it is the US, if you wish to make it like Iran, or Saudi then please move to Iran of Saudi, if you want the US to be more like Europe then please move to Europe.

The important thing here is that the union voted on this, so it wasn't forced upon them.  Very American to have the majority rule.  And, frankly, there's nothing in the Constitution of the United States that says the majority will always be white and Christian.  If I were you, I wouldn't panic, because the fastest growing minority in the country is not Somali muslims, it's Catholic Hispanics.  But, if you are still really worried, you can always give the country back to the Native Americans from whom it was stolen. Nothing remains the same except change.  And, unfortunately, change sometimes wipes out noble cultures as well as evil ones.

 And as for American Indians, well I was not there during that conquest, but I will say that I much prefer Islam to come in like we did then, instead of through the back-door. A conquest of arms we can defend against, this politically correct posturing is more difficult.
