How much do you spend on dog food per month?

I think Apollo goes through 20lb bag every month (I think).....at $23.99

Cleo needsa 40# bag, a month. I don't buy those ridiculous 27/30/33lbs bags lol. I get 40# for around $28-30 and I buy two...one for Cleo and the other for the rest (4 smaller dogs).

 I think that is very reasonable for 4 dogs - Not sure these days what it cost to feed the beast as I have been doing kibble and raw/home prepared

quick calc tells me that it is probably about $100 for his home-prepared alone

 Not much.  I don't even need to buy a bag of dog food each month.  One of the perks of only needing to feed a small 9 pound dog I suppose.

I think the big bag of Canidae lasts us about a month, so $45 for two dogs, 58 and 60lbs.  I also buy several NB food rolls a month because I use this for treats, so probably $15/mo for that. 

I spend about $120 to feed 4 Mastiffs & a Lab, and I feed Canidae.

We usually buy a 10lb box of Honest Kitchen food at around $60, & a case of canned food that's usually around $30 per month.  Everything else that they eat is raw.  I would guess that last month's raw cost me around $350-400.

I feed all my guys Pinnacle Trout & Sweet Potato.  That lasts a little more than a month.  That's $46 for the bag.  Add treats & goodies.  I'd guesstimate it to be approximately $100 a month.

 Don't hate me.... ~$5/month. I'm feeding Wellness Core right now, which is about $11 for a small bag, and he goes through about half a bag a month. He also gets cooking scraps on occasion - extra bits of zucchini, or meat, or some frozen peas, or what have you... but he's tiny, so he doesn't eat much.

Although I also spend probably... $3/month on poop bags, and poop is a byproduct of food, so maybe that brings it to $8 monthly?  

I also use Wellness Core. We go thru a bit more than a big bag a month right now (they eat less in summer due to less activity because of the heat). Depending on the sales I can find, it brings me around $60 a month for my two.

Counting in bones, stuffing for Kongs, salmon oil, etc... I guess I end up around $ 100.

My two go through a 33/35/40lb bag of food (we rotate brands and formulas) every 6 to 8 weeks and I spend between $40 and $48/bag, so I guess they're eating about $30 of food per month; $15/dog/month. :)  I don't count treats in that figure since the amount depends if the dogs are in classes or doing other activities.

I just spent $180 at the store for kibble (Core), canned (Evo) and dehydrated raw (Honest Kitchen -- a 10 lb. costs me $78, so I need to move to where you are Bevo!). We still have some Orijen left so I expect to have to stock up again in about 6 weeks.

i buy about one 40# bag of canidae every 3.5 weeks. Canidae is 40# for $40, so not bad for 2 dogs over 85 lbs!

 Julie what kind of dog food are you feeding? I was thinking I saw in another post where you was feeding TOTW but I could be wrong.

I have Lillie on TOTW only now. I had been giving her Proplan preformance formula for breakfast but she was getting tired of it. She was still eating TOTW though so Im trying that for both meals.

Anyways with the proplan I could get a 37lb bag for 36 bucks and it would last a month and a half feeding that 2 times a day. I got a 30lb bag of TOTW for 40 bucks and am really hoping I can at least get a month out of it. Those are the biggest bags I can get around here.

And I am with Cita when it comes to feeding Kujo. Hehe. Sorry but it sure is nice when a 10lb bag will last 4-5 months. Kujo only weighs 2 lbs so her food last a little longer than Rascal.

Ok I just bought dog food Monday for Cheyanne and Lillie which came to a total of  80 bucks. Lillie is the only one I have to buy for every month so I guess I am lucky and only spend 40-50 bucks a month on dog food.

Hey thanks Julie for this thread!!! I thought I was spending a fortune on dog food but now realize it's not that bad after all.

Shhh dont tell JJ how much the food cost for Lillie though!! He'll die.
