See. I still don't know what I am in size and I'm not sure where to go to get measured. Lol. Stupid small towns...
Oh! You can measure yourself. Just go to a sewing shop, or I think even places like Walmart sell the soft-type measuring tapes. If you go to a hobby or sewing shop, it would be in the "notions" section...they're very cheap (a dollar or so).
Always measure at the widest part of each of the following three areas: bust, waist, hips. Do it without outergarments on, as they can add to the measurement (especially jeans). For the waist, measure at the belly button...that's a good rule I learned, since the waist area can vary. Usually right under the ribcage is the narrowest point, but at the belly button is considered the waist.
I learned all this last year when I was doing a weight-loss program. They would measure me once a week and weigh me three times a week. It was crazy (and inspiring!) to see how much I lost in inches, which to me means more than weight, since that can vary, especially for us ladies.
