Xeph needs help... (UPDATE!)

See, I've always thought of getting officially measured, but I'm really self conscious about people seeing me half naked.....so I suppose I have nobody to blame for my discomfort but myself....

See. I still don't know what I am in size and I'm not sure where to go to get measured. Lol. Stupid small towns...

I love that garter belt! But if it was in black then it'd be more my thing. Wink Lol.  *cough* Ehem. Lol. I like the first choice to go with it.

Now if I had a CC I'd go shopping on that site as there is a lot of stuff I've found that I would LOVE! *sigh* One day.

    The garter/panty thing is cute!

Out of the other two you're looking at I prefer the one above.

I love the look of white lingerie but with my skin tone it would just look....bizarre......so I stick with black....

I bought everything in black :-)  My skin tone is light for a black person (I'm part native american, so my tone is closer to that), and I feel I look better in black :-)

I'll have some white things for that "virginal" effect (We all know that drives men nuts xD) but I'm trying to find other colors that'll be good for me too.  I hear I look good in pastels like powder blue and perhaps a mint green.  I know I look good in yellow, but I hate yellow

I bet you'd look good in red--it works with lots of skin tones...

I really don't...not where lace is concerned.  It just doesn't work for me.  Overall I don't particularly care for red anyway.  I do well in really smoky blues and pale purples.

I blame my boldness on my period...hormones do funny things to people

You should check out this site I just found: http://www.herroom.com/bra-fitting-advice,901,30.html They have a HUGE selection of bras in tons of sizes, and they tell you exactly how to measure yourself, and how to know if a bra fits you properly. You can view each bra from the front and the back, and see how it fits under a variety of necklines and in a tank top, and there is a complete description with definitions so you know what all the terminology means. Shipping is fast and dirt cheap.

Oh!  You can measure yourself.  Just go to a sewing shop, or I think even places like Walmart sell the soft-type measuring tapes.  If you go to a hobby or sewing shop, it would be in the "notions" section...they're very cheap (a dollar or so).

Always measure at the widest part of each of the following three areas: bust, waist, hips.  Do it without outergarments on, as they can add to the measurement (especially jeans).  For the waist, measure at the belly button...that's a good rule I learned, since the waist area can vary.  Usually right under the ribcage is the narrowest point, but at the belly button is considered the waist.

I learned all this last year when I was doing a weight-loss program.  They would measure me once a week and weigh me three times a week.  It was crazy (and inspiring!) to see how much I lost in inches, which to me means more than weight, since that can vary, especially for us ladies.

Oh, I hear ya on this one .... loud and clear.  Just the thought of going into a store, taking my clothes off and letting a complete stranger come at me with a tape measure makes me Ick! I'll just put up with a bit of discomfort, thanks.

My mom works in a department store in the bra and sleep wear, lingerie section and she measures people all the time, you don't have to take all your clothes off at all.

I was just measured in Victoria Secret too and you don't have to take off anything.

Doesn't make it any less awkward to have someone you don't know fiddling around your boobs xD

A couple of months ago I had an EKG done and apparently you have to be braless for that.   I have to say that I have had few experiences less comfortable than having an 80 year old woman sticking those little round things to my boobs.  What's worse is that a common response of mine to that sort of discomfort is a nearly uncontrollable laughing fit--the woman must have thought I was a total nut.....Stick out tongue

They don't touch your boobs at all.

    • Gold Top Dog

    No, but they come close!

Speaking of touching boobs, what else should I buy? xD!
