Chuffy, I am sure that there are some good guys out there.....I have been married for some years, but I also ran into a few dipsticks like so many of my friends and women all across the country. The statistics show that most men have and would cheat if given the opportunity if it was never found out.

I don't see men and women as that much different as far as sexual needs and whatnot.  There are also stats that show the happiest group of people are married men and the second happiest are single women.

Xeph I am NOT Ms. Sexy.  Never have been, never will be ... but I tell you ... the unexpected can be quite ... motivational.

Yup, this is a great bit of advice.... how I like to say it,  "Everyone likes surprises!" Big Smile

Every married couple around my age that I know that have broken up has had the woman cheating in some way....I my marriage I'm fairly certain that I would cheat before DH did.

I do think that woman and men are different sexually though, in that we respond to different stimuli.  Men are very visual--hence the knee highs and garter requests, but women seem to be more into feelings, emotions, etc when it comes to sex (in many cases).  Also, many men seem to be able to separate love and sex better than many women.

Excellent point.  A lot of men seem able to have sex, even on-going sex with one person, without any emotional involvement at all.  I don't think most women are wired that way.

I don't so either, the hormones involved are different and trigger different emotional and physical responses, but I don't think men NEED or want sex MORE than women (or maybe it makes more sense to say "women don't need or want sex any less), at least not in my experience or studying gender as part of my degree.

I imagine men can separate sex from love easier than women can simply because that's what they're built for.

I do NOT believe that humans are monogamous, but that we force ourselves into it.  Generally, males are built to mate as often as possible with as many females as they can to spread their genes, thus, no emotional attachment is needed.  Generally, females are built to procreate with the male they think is best suited to them and will enhance their progeny in the areas they're weak in, and then they nurture the offspring...more emotional attachment involved.

I was reading an article that was talking about love and it stated that a great deal of relationships break up/start having trouble around the fourth or fifth year because that is roughly how long it takes to have a child and raise it to the age where both parents don't need to be as involved in its care.  The idea being that the man can them go off and have another child with another partner and the woman can do the same.

And I wholly believe and understand that.  Personally, I think there's nothing wrong with open relationships as long as it is agree upon by both parties.  I know that for myself it's unlikely to work, as I don't like to share...my man is MINE and anybody else that tries to take him from me is in for a beating.

The older I get, the less I think that people are naturally monogamous.  I think if this were the case then you would not see so many cases of people cheating--if it were natural, it would not take so much effort, IMHO.

While I don't know how into an open relationship I would be, I sometimes think it would be nice if DH had two or three more wives--that way when he starts to bug me I could just send him to one of them to deal with.....Stick out tongue

Random note, I found a bra today that ACTUALLY FITS and got really excited...especially since it's all lacy and comes with matching panties xD

You suck (and I mean that in the nicest way possible--lol).  I have a *very* hard time finding one that fits me correctly.  The one that I have on now is bugging me but it's the closest I could find to fitting.....
