Bobby our 6 year old wanted to talk to all of you a bit......

Jasmine went to the doctor , with Grandpa, G'ma and Me.  we took her about 10:00.  The waiting room was filled with a bunch of small dogs and our big girl . There was  a cat too in a cat cage. Dr David is a doctor that can help animals.  We like him a lot, he is a good man that helps animals.

We got put in the Wild Cat room it has cats, bobcats, lynxes and cougers on the wall and it is a pretty room.  It is important for you to know about the shot. Dr David put something around her leg to make it easier to give her the shot. Grandpa and G'ma and I were very sad we were crying a lot  Crying 1  but G'ma said we needed  to tell Jasmine it was okay, that she should look for BoBo , Frisco, and the other other family dogs, That G'mas Momma and Grandpa's Mom would be there to help her be happy.  I had to keep getting Grandpa a lot of Tissues cause he had to blow his nose a whole lot. When it was time fro Jasmien to get her shot I decided to wait with the nurses. I thought I could watch but at the last minute I thouht I might cry too hard and make her sad too. When I was very small Jasmine was in my crib with me and she went every where I went. I really miss her a lot. I don't understand why she had to go but I am glad she is with Bobo and her puppies and our Frisco dog. I never met the Great Grandmas but I know everyone promised me they love dogs very very much and will take great care of our girl.

When the Dog get's the shot from Dr David they cross the bridge, they get young and happy again. They do not have bumps , and boo boos any more. They find fluffy clouds by the stars to sleep on and when they are awake they play and chase the star cats who star mouses and everyone gets along. They watch over us and take good care of us. They wait until we all get to be together again.

Today G'ma and Grandpa bought a Magic Sand box, it is green and gold with redisih brown and beautiful blue patterns that at something like snowflakes on them...  When Jasmine's magic sand comes home from Mississippi it will be mixed up with Bobos and they will be together for ever.

If you have a kid and you have to let a dog cross the rainbow bridge I think you should be very honest with them let them know that your dog or cat will be feeling better when they cross the bridge and that they will always love them for ever and ever. I your kid feels sad about this they can write me and my cousins, we can talk about it and we help each other feel better.

This love smiley face is for Jasmine    Puppy 3  I Love You love Bobby

    Bobby:

Thank you for writing about Jasmine going to the Rainbow Bridge. I have had two ridgebacks go to the bridge and soon, one of my other ridgebacks (who is very old) will make the journey too.

I cried a lot when I read what you wrote. But it was good for me. because it reminded me what a good place the rainbow bridge is.  I am sure Jasmine is very proud of how you helped your G'ma and Grandpa.

I hope I can be as brave when it is my turn to let Gracie go to the bridge.

Bobby, thank you so much for writing.  I know your G'ma and the rest of your family are so proud of you!   I make a promise to you young man.  I promise that I will be honest with my grandkids when it is time for our pets to make the trip to Rainbow bridge.

Your G'ma has shown us that honesty is the best way to deal with the sadness.  And also to be able to remember the good things, the way your pets make you smile and make you laugh.  The way they love you and you love them; always and forever in your hearts.

Bobby, you are a brave and strong fella (not to mention handsome with that red hair!).  I have a box for my Winnie's magic sand also.  We glued a picture frame onto it and put my favorite picture of her in the frame.  I have it in a special place, and everytime I look at it, I remember all the good times we had together...walks around the neighborhood to meet all the children, her tail going in circles like a helicopter when she was happy...even the time she was on the patio sunning and a mocking bird dive bombed her...I'll never forget the look on her face!  And seeing her picture there, I know she is with me always in my heart.

Thank you for being so good to G'ma and Grandpa...you help them a lot by loving them.
