    Bonita,

I said I'd do this for you, please post the list when you get a chance. Occassionally we go through cases of Nestle water so I'll have to print the list and hang it on my fridge so I remember to do this before taking the paper off the bottles and throwing them out.

I missed the original post, what do you need saved?

    • Gold Top Dog

Here is a pdf that should be every brand

    http://www.boxtops4education.com/Downloads/Global/products.pdf

I buy a lot of generics, so I have only maybe 15 of these, but I'll keep saving :)

Nicole, thanks so much for that link.  OMG, I had NO idea that there were so many products involved.  I've been thinking that it was pretty much just soup and a very few other things.  *running off to check pantry* Smile

Whoa!  Wait, do Canadian products work as well?  I mean we have the majority of those brands up here, but will they work for you Bonita?  If they will, I'll look through my cupboards.

I know that Kale's school collects the Cambells soup labels...but I've never heard about anything else.

As long as they have these little couponey things on them we take EVERYTHING we can get !! The school is over 80 years old and when My adult daughters went there as first and second graders we had to sell candy to raise money for in the window air conditioners, every year it has been something , since Katrina we got sooo many new kids they finally gave us just enough to build a new school , but not enough for the play ground or landscaping. Parents and Grandparents do a LOT of it , but seriously for the past 25 years the best toy on the play ground has been recycled Tractor tires !!  They have  4 swings, two geodome jungle climbers and a slide for over 1000 kids!!  The kids are great and have done without the indoor gyms and regular playground equipment most cities take for granted. Last year I was part of the volunteer group that went in and sanded and painted everything so it would be both safe to play on and the kids could see the hopscotch ...growing up californian where taxes for the schools were so high the teachers really wanted for very littel this has been a shock for us!!

Joyce, I didn't know it was that many products either!  And the labels look different on different products, so that threw me as well.

Even though we buy a lot of generics I'm still finding labels on things I didn't know about, like DH's Caribou granola bars!  Who'd've thunk it?

    • Gold Top Dog

I think I'm going to print out that list and put it in one of those plastic page protector things and just keep it in the kitchen.  Back when by son was in Jr. High, the labels didn't have those little sections to cut off - you just turned in the whole label. And now we can even feel good about buying disposable plates/cups/utensils in the summer! Smile

Thanks for the list.  That is great!  We use a lot of the things on the list!

    • Gold Top Dog

None of the things I have off that list have the coupon thingy on them....Sad

The Cambell's soup labels have a Labels for Education thingy on them, but it has a maple leaf on a pencil which I assume means its a Canadian thing.

    Sorry...

    • Gold Top Dog

don't be sorry just pop them in an envelope and drop them off at the nearest school to you !!   It is such an easy way to help kids in a rough economy !

If you're lucky enough to be close to a Wal-Mart Superstore, the name brands are considerably less there than at the regular grocery stores ... the prices are much more comparable to the commissary at Travis AFB where I don't shop anymore because it's 45 miles each way. Sad Now that I know what little label to look for, it will be easier to look for it in the store instead of digging through the pantry at home.

We actually live about 10-15 min from a walmart supercenter, but I HATE HATE HATE shopping there!  not cuz it's walmart, but because there are TONS of people, the aisles are small and in the non-food section, everything is all over the place, not organized logically.  And they tend to have more items but less variety/selection amongst an item, for example dog food (not that I would EVER buy it there, but for an example!) they might have 20 brands, but only one size or flavor of each, whereas my smaller walmart has 10 brands but many flavors and sizes.  Maybe it's just that walmart, though..... and their produce is very hit or miss -- either it's good and cheap, or nasty and pricey, or some other random combination, but you can't go there needing something to be fresh since it's usually isn't.

Sigh.  I do have more box top labels than I thought I would, however!  We buy a lot of GM cereals since it's always on sale and with coupons is about the same price as generics, plus I get ziplocs by the boatload from costco, etc.
