Mindless Chatter Tuesday (not sure where Jewlieee is!)

I hope she's doing something fun...or busy selling her car.

I have about 3/4 of the wallpaper in the room stripped but it's like a sauna in there now so I have to stop, and I need to shower and get everything ready for this evening anyway.   Hopefully the weather will hold long enough to take Ben for a walk.

Bread machine just beeped, that's one thing done.

LOL it is very, very yummy.  I do use a machine, I couldn't do all that kneading and stuff by hand.  Well, I could...but I choose not to LOL.  I still like that I know what is going into it, and the taste is definitely superior to shop-bought.  Plus my house smells lovely!

aaahhh! now i want fresh bread!!! best i got is some pretty dried up bread in the fridge...

    hmmm... even that sounds good...

man alove i JUST had dinner, what is WRONG with me?

mmmm I love love love home made bread!

Just quickly stopping by to say hello. I'm between meetings, so no nothing fun or as productive as selling my car.

Baby Abbie got spayed today and her rear dew claws removed. It's going to be hard keeping her down for 10 days! She's the energizer bunny.

My sisters dog has a raging UTI but I have her on antibiotics now so she should be cleared up soon. She also has mild hip dysplasia too poor pup. That explains the limping and stiff joints in the morning.

Anyway back to work work work!

Would anyone like this chow?  She's driving me crazy!!

Oh man, I love fresh baked bread too. It's way too dangerous for me to have around though.

It is so depressing here. Our temps are supposed to be 100-110 today and thru Friday and the air is in the "unhealthy for everybody" range. It's just nasty to even look outside. My boss is letting me work from home this afternoon so I can let the dogs in, so I was relieved about that.

I want a Wii!! I will have one by xmas.

I had to take a quick run to the store last night about 9:30 and stepping out on the front porch was like walking into an oven.  At 9:00 this morning it was already 87 ... this does not bode well. It looks like the prediction of 107 just might come true. Sad It's a good thing we don't have humidity here or they'd be scraping us off the sidewalk.

I think I've been watching too much news about the fires, bad air, horrible heat...blah, blah, blah and I've got this feeling of doom and gloom. I hate being stuck inside when it's cold and rainy in the winter and now it's summer and it's even worse to be outside - blech!! I want to live near the beach again Big Smile

Well I am back at work today Crying  Why can 't I win the lotto and no longer work?

We gave all the dogs baths yesterday. We got so much hair off Belle we could have created another dog! I need to make sure I brush them all tonight. They are all so soft and they smell so good.

I never kept my dogs down 10 days following a spay. I usually kept them REALLY quiet for a day or two, then let them have wandering activity around the house. No walks for about a week. My girlfriend who is a vet, took Maxine to the barn with her the afternoon after her surgery. She didn't feel like running around and didn't. No adverse reactions.

Julie you know how sorry I am to hear about your sisters dog having HD. If she is not already doing so, have her get it on joint supplements.

A funny spay story. My sister is NOT a dog person, but they have a golden named Molly. When she had Molly spayed, my sister had concerns about the incision. So she called the vet, the vet explained what was up to my sister, and at the risk of not wanting to sound dumb, didn't ask further questions. So she called me to clarify what the vet said. She asked me "what is sub-terraineous bleeding?", I wrinkled my brow and said "bleeding under ground", then I thought about what she said and asked "Mare, did he say sub CUTANEOUS bleeding?" and she said yes! I had to laugh. I explained sub cutaneous was bleeding under the skin, similar to a bruise. However I have always gotten a kick out of subterraineous bleeding!

Man I don't want to work, and I really want a new job.

We had the most lovely thunderstorm blow through yesterday.  It has been hot and humid for many days and then the skies turned green and the trees started dancing along to the flashes in the ski.

DH, Morrison and I opened the garage door and the hatch to the wagon and sat and watched.  If I stretched out my legs my toes got wet with the pummeling rain.  Morrison enjoyed sniffing the air while Monroe stood in the door and watched from a safe distance.  The thunder was a constant rolling, sounding like a bowling alley.

When it was over, about 20 minutes later, the air was fresh and cool and the humidity dropped almost 20%.

I love thunderstorms (and so does my puppy, thankfully).

    LOL! That's funny.

I'm really trying hard to keep a positive attitude, but I really really don't want to work anymore! I feel so whiney. I know I should be thankful for my situation (relatives watching the baby - no daycare) but I just wish I didn't have to work at all. I try not to stress about money, but that's really the only reason I can't be a stay-at-home mom. Storm I know so many people talk about how winning the lotto would make all their problems go away, and I know of course that's not the case, but I'd still like to win just enough to pay off the mortgage.

I feel the same way Jan. I don't have Miss Willa at home, so I know it's much worse for you, but I'm just plain tired of the daily work grind. I have to remind myself constantly that I have a pretty good job and darn good pay, but I'd still prefer not to have to work. I hope to retire in 4 yrs, and even that seems soooooo far away.

    • Gold Top Dog

I feel for you Janice.  I am going to feel the same way and already do.  Fortunately my boss is setting up my at home office a little more with a nice printer/scanner and a larger monitor I can use to put multiple windows on since I am used to working on 3 so that I can work at home a lot more and more efficiently.  It will still be hard but we would struggle if we cut back to 1 income.  Plus, my boss is setting me up for the rest of my life so if I want her business someday, I have to make it work.  At least she understands though and will work with me.  I will bring the baby in with me when I do come in for the first couple months when all it does is sleep...then it will go to daycare which I HATE but don't have any other option.

We did find out what we are having though last week!  I am tempted to post a belly pic and make you guys guess.  I have another sono in two weeks and they will confirm again.  It makes me nervous when the decide this early but the sonographer said he was 100% sure and my OB said even though it is early he is almost always right.

It has been hot here too.  I feel like the heater is on everywhere I go which doesn't help!
