Well I am back at work today
Why can 't I win the lotto and no longer work?
We gave all the dogs baths yesterday. We got so much hair off Belle we could have created another dog! I need to make sure I brush them all tonight. They are all so soft and they smell so good.
I never kept my dogs down 10 days following a spay. I usually kept them REALLY quiet for a day or two, then let them have wandering activity around the house. No walks for about a week. My girlfriend who is a vet, took Maxine to the barn with her the afternoon after her surgery. She didn't feel like running around and didn't. No adverse reactions.
Julie you know how sorry I am to hear about your sisters dog having HD. If she is not already doing so, have her get it on joint supplements.
A funny spay story. My sister is NOT a dog person, but they have a golden named Molly. When she had Molly spayed, my sister had concerns about the incision. So she called the vet, the vet explained what was up to my sister, and at the risk of not wanting to sound dumb, didn't ask further questions. So she called me to clarify what the vet said. She asked me "what is sub-terraineous bleeding?", I wrinkled my brow and said "bleeding under ground", then I thought about what she said and asked "Mare, did he say sub CUTANEOUS bleeding?" and she said yes! I had to laugh. I explained sub cutaneous was bleeding under the skin, similar to a bruise. However I have always gotten a kick out of subterraineous bleeding!
Man I don't want to work, and I really want a new job.
