Mindless Chatter - Humpday

haha jewliee, i have to agree, crazy dog lady you are!!  and 4 in a bed!!  wow!  and in the summer!  Wasn't it warm? hehe

 Today feels like a monday to me, but i don't mind working, I was off Friday until today, and then next week I am off ALL WEEK!  Woohoo!

But I need to think of things BF and I can do during our vacation!  I would LOVE to drive to the USA but BF is an immigrant (from Ireland) and doesn't have a valid passport anymore, since his irish passport expired, so he can't cross the border.  If anyone has any ideas of things to do or places to go in Ontario please let me know!

Also, I kind of goofed up yesterday!  BFs birthday is on Tuesday (July 8) and I am trying to set up a dinner with friends, and I went to send a text message to a friend of ours about it, but sent it to BF instead!!  I phoned right away and made him promise to delete it without reading it, lol he told me he did, but this is the same BF who everytime he opens the trunk of my car he rummages through the box with his Bday gifts in it! 

Woohoo three day work week then breaaaaaaaaaak!!!!

5 dogs?  Insanity!  And people gave me crap for having two within a year... 

My boss gave me his old flash attachment to try on my camera.  I got it on and it seems to work, I was worried it wouldn't match my model.  I think I might just have to buy this from him.... 

I loved having 5 dogs. Now just down to 3. You should have seen the looks I used to get walking/biking with 5 dogs. People would actually stop and ask if they were all mine. Haha. Sometimes one of my cats would tag along on walks.

Was gonna go swimming today but it's a little cool to do that. 

Lillie is driving me nuts. She wont stop pacing. Inside or out. And I have even added another walk into our days. I will be so glad when I get a car to drive again because I am so putting her into agility. 

LOL, we were walking our 5 dogs on Sunday and we got some comments.  1 couple thought we worked for a kennel and were shocked when we said no they're all ours.  Then another guy said, "Oh that looks like a 'woof' pack"  I thought that was cute.

Kle, how's Jayde doing?  Have you been able to see her lately? 

haha yeah I walked 5 dogs this weekend while camping. I had a good set up going. My dog pack became known as "the family" because I would walk us all up to the bathroom and hook the dogs to the bike rack then all the dogs would lay there nicely waiting for me to come out. People said they looked like the perfect little doggy family. 

It's BF's b-day tomorrow and instead of a cake, like a normal person, he wants an apple pie. Do I know how to make apple pie?! NO. I don't even think I own a pie pan. I might have to call my mother.

OMGZ I don't think I could do five dogs. At work, we have a client who has EIGHT doxies. I think Pirate is going to be a single child for a while.

Hey, let's not discuss "crazy dog ladies"!  Once you make the jump from two to three dogs, the additionals after that are easy.  I usually don't get comments on the number of dogs that I have.  The most popular question has to be "Won't that doberman eat the dachshunds?"    The other thing that almost always happens is that non-dog savy kids run straight for Shooter & Schatzi to try to pet them.  Neither dog cares, but Bev & Chyna usually step up to block the way.  They both tend to have a "they're our weiners" attitudes.

I never thought I would be so excited to go to the Dr but I have an appt tomorrow with a sono and I can't wait!  I am really hoping the baby will open up it's legs and let us see what's in there! 

I am taking the day off tomorrow and thankfully so.  We are having our annual 4th of July gathering on Friday and my dad and brother keep inviting more people!  It went from 20 people to 30 almost overnight!  It is no biggie but I am starting to stress about having enough room and especially food now.  In the end I will be exhausted, but it will be a lot of fun like it always is!

Kle, how's Jayde doing?  Have you been able to see her lately? 

Jayde is doing great. I havent seen her in a month since I have no car. But her breeder said her leg has healed up fine and she has to pry her away from the baby goats. She seems to have forgotten she is a herding dog and not a LGD. Her breeder said that Jayde is more of a man's dog than women. She really loves her husband and will go out of the way to please him. So maybe that was my problem? She preferred men over women? 

Oooooh Boneyjean!!  Make devilled eggs!!  They are super easy and I have an amazing recipe for them!!

I also have a receipt for a SUPER simple no bake cheesecake that people love!

I had actually thought of deviled eggs.  I am making potato salad, some dips and then getting a bunch of chicken for huby to grill.  He is also making some backstrap from his deer he killed last year.  It was so good the other night when we made the other one.  There are just a lot of people who haven't committed to bringing anything this year which means I have to fill in the gaps.  I am just not going to worry about it though!

Fortunately, my mom is doing the desserts.   She is the queen of dessert!  She is making an ice cream pie and 4 layer delight!

 woo we have had two cool mornings and it is such a welcome surprise at this time of the year.  I had been worried about Bugsy not feeling well because he was beyond lethargic but I can tell you it's the weather.  Back to his boundless self now.  I tell you this dog is certifiable, the other night we had a very intense storm and during a break in the downpour I sent him out for his last of the night business.  Off he went still thundering and lightning, then the heavens opened again - does he come back - uh no - he was out for 20 minutes in this powerful storm.  Then he just comes toddling back to the deck like isn't it lovely out here?

Excited now as our back porch is finally going to be built starting next Tuesday, I've wanted it for 4 yrs now.  My goal now is to convince DH that we need a dog door somewhere.

I wish that mine would go out when it rains!  Instead, I get the "mom, are you too dumb to realize that it's raining" looks.
