    Mindless Chatter - Tuesday

Figured I go ahead and start today's thread.

I'm finally back to my normal schedule today and for the next two weeks before I'm helping with another session of camp - no more 6:30 wake ups for two weeks! yay!

Anyone react to mosquito bites?  I have two bites from something on my hip and they keep swelling up.  They started out pencil eraser size and now one's about the size of a half dollar and the others' the size of a quarter. :\ I'm starting to wonder if they're spider bites.  Maybe I'll take some allergy meds I have left over from a spider bite I got a year ago...

I've gotten mosquito bites that have gotten that big. Ew skeeters.

I've always wanted to do the summer camp thing with a bunch of kids. I never got to go to summer camp so the whole concept is just so cool!

    I'm OFF tomorrow, whoo-hoo!

Spider bites are usually hard, and they have a distinct mark where the actual bite too place, usually two little "heads". They itch until you scratch them then they are tender. The actual bite mark becomes more distinct as they "heal", and can be a drainy head. I have had MANY a spider bite. Fortunately I do not believe I have been bitten by a brown recluse. I HATE SPIDERS!!!!! You want to see me leave a room fast, just have a spider enter! I am extremely arachnophobic! I am not kidding.

I have had some mosquito bites just absolutely get huge, some don't. I don't know why perhaps the length of time the little sucker (literally) was feasting.

Yes, I do.  In the past few years every bite I get has gotten worse (all kinds).  Last summer I got a very small bite (not a mosquito, maybe some kind of gnat or fly) and I had a HUGE (bigger than grapefruit) sized red circle on my thigh for a week.  When I get mosquito bites, I get big, hard welts.  It doesn't itch as much as it aches.  Last time I was stung by a bee it was the most painful thing I can remember, more acutely painful than my pinched nerve and arthritis in the foot.  My uncle (who is a big outdoorsman) said often bites are like allergies and it becomes worse the more you are exposed.  I don't go into shock so I don't carry and epi-pen but I dread the day I am stung by a bee again!!

It might also be a black fly bite, those get huge on me!

I think if you scratch at mosquito bites then you can spread the poison and that makes it go from a bump to a big spot.  That happened to me earlier in the spring.

I'm so mad, I can't find my marriage license and I wanted to go to the Social Security Office today to get an updated SS card, plus, I lost my old one and employers want to see it to hire you. Sooo, I have to order a new license, wait until that comes in and then go down.

We decided to switch our tv and internet service from comcast to verizon fios, so the verizon guy came out this morning and someone else has a line running from the port they were going to hook ours up too and verizon can't figure out who has it! So the guy is coming back out tomorrow morning, but DH had already cancelled Comcast, so this can shut off on me at anytime today. Wonderful, I figure if that happens the dogs and I will go to the park for a romp, and then if it gets warmer out today maybe to grandma's to play in the pool ;) I've been wanting to take Teddi down there to see if he will swim in the pool.

Payback Bugsy ate one that was flying around him yesterday - thing was HUGE.  I thought at first it was a bee/wasp and then once he caught it and spit it out I looked at it.  He sniffed it then ate it. yum yum nice and meaty

Still no car - this is beyond ridiculous now.

Man those squeeters are so bad in my back yard this year. I have a lot of bats too. They aren't doing their job!

Today is just.....today. I am dealing with some people that just want to argue. We are on the same side and if they would just do as I am asking we'd move forward! gah *frustration*

I'm in love with little Abbie. How am I going to let her go? I soooooo hope that this disc dogger champ adopts her. Otherwise I'm keeping her.

Yay!!  Sorry, but I really love that girl and will miss watching her grow up.

It's so smokey here from all the fires that it's dark and gloomy. Very sad that so much is burning and so early in the season. We are already in drought conditions and we're not even in July yet - ugh!!

You should see how sweet she is. When she wants to snuggle up in bed, she put hers paws up and just looks at me - no whining, nothing but you can see the want in her face. Then I pick her up and put her on the bed and she gives me these tiny little soft puppy kisses. It's the sweetest thing ever.

That's just one of the reasons you don't need a man in your life Wink

HHMMM!!! I was wondering about that. I believe I said "shall we place bets?" Big Smile  I will hope for you that he does want her, because like you told me you do not need 4 dogs, and that would be a great home.

Now me, I need 4 dogs!

I read somewhere that they can only fly for 300 yards or so, and that you should make sure your yard is free of ALL standing water, since that's where they're born. LOL, my house is 300 yards from a small 'pond' off of the big river in NSB. Jokes on me.

It is going to STORM here - BF called and told me to wait it out downstairs, and he's *never* afraid of storms. Eeesh.
